While were happy these BB creams have spread like wildfire, we'll always have a soft spot for the Korean brand that started it all: Dr. Jart+. Their premium formula is a five-in-one primer, serum, moisturizer, SPF, and sheer tint. Made without parabens or sulfates, this creamy tinted balm tames problem complexions and is the cornerstone of a no-nonsense makeup routine. Arbutin brightens and evens out skin tone, while green tea and aloe vera soothe irritation. Rare caviar extract promotes collagen production, while titanium dioxide and zinc oxide provide broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.
Before buying Dr. Jart+'s BB Cream I was using Aveeno's brand that I picked up at the drug store. And if I'm honest, I rather pay $15 for the drug store brand. I didn't think Dr. Jart justified the price. I have oily skin and it leaves a weird noticeable film on my skin. The color match is awful as well. I'm medium/fair and I had to put a mineral foundation on top of it before I left the house. I'll finish up the bottle I have, but I won't buy this brand again.1
I wanted to get on the BB cream bandwagon. It seemed like there were a lot of pros, but I tried this Beauty Balm and got a case of the zits. I really wanted to like this product, but I guess it wasn't in the cards for me.1
Made me breakout, and still recovering from the horrible cystic acne this gave me. Will not repurchase and returning this week. The color is awful almost grey, and changes to pink undertones so not for my olive complexion but the acne from this isn't worth it.1
I did not like the smell of this product at all. I had to wash it off because the smell was making me ill.1
I really liked this product when I first go the sample in my birch box. It gave a decent amount of coverage and balanced out my skin tone. However, after using it for a month my skin began to break out and become very sensitive. I was very disappointed.1
I did not like the smell of this or the final feeling after putting it on. It was sticky and smelly, a combo I do not like in face products.1
A little heavier than other BB creams which would be ok if it wasn't for the dirty looking color. People mentioned my sickly looking complexion.1
I loved the thought of an "all in one", but unfortunately this isn't it! The titanium dioxide in this BB cream was so strong that my entire face looked grey, ashy and gaunt. Not even blush and bronzed could fix the ashy hue that it gave me. :(1
This product should come with a warning. It said to use like a moisturizer, so I didn't pay attention to how much I applied. When I tried to rub it in it was too thick. And then when I tried to wash it off it was impossible! It might be a good product, but the company needs to tell people who are using it for the first time to use only a tiny amount.1
This is definitely the thickest bb cream I have tried. It was hard to blend and appeared very cakey. Mixing it with a bit of moisturizer helped, but not very much. I had to wash it off and start fresh with my normal routine.1
