While were happy these BB creams have spread like wildfire, we'll always have a soft spot for the Korean brand that started it all: Dr. Jart+. Their premium formula is a five-in-one primer, serum, moisturizer, SPF, and sheer tint. Made without parabens or sulfates, this creamy tinted balm tames problem complexions and is the cornerstone of a no-nonsense makeup routine. Arbutin brightens and evens out skin tone, while green tea and aloe vera soothe irritation. Rare caviar extract promotes collagen production, while titanium dioxide and zinc oxide provide broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.
I loved the thought of an "all in one", but unfortunately this isn't it! The titanium dioxide in this BB cream was so strong that my entire face looked grey, ashy and gaunt. Not even blush and bronzed could fix the ashy hue that it gave me. :(1
This product should come with a warning. It said to use like a moisturizer, so I didn't pay attention to how much I applied. When I tried to rub it in it was too thick. And then when I tried to wash it off it was impossible! It might be a good product, but the company needs to tell people who are using it for the first time to use only a tiny amount.1
This is definitely the thickest bb cream I have tried. It was hard to blend and appeared very cakey. Mixing it with a bit of moisturizer helped, but not very much. I had to wash it off and start fresh with my normal routine.1
I love BB cream, however, the color of this particular one they sent me was so light I couldn't wear it. I wish they sent a color that was more toward the middle of the color spectrum so that it could work for more skin tones. When I put it on it looked like I smeared white paint on my face. It's a shame because I do love BB cream and wanted to try this particular brand. I currently use the Garnier brand, and I like it, but wanted to try a different one.1
i received a sample in my birchbox, however it was much too dark for my skin tone (i have very fair skin). this is the only reason i gave the product one star.1
I loved the thin texture and color matched my skin. I don't typically need a lot of coverage, but this was very thin coverage. My skin broke out less than 5 hours after wearing it and continued to break out until I switched back. I have very sensitive skin, so this may be better for others who are not prone to break outs.1
did not like this. it settled too much with powder in my fine lines under my eyes. I have urban decays bb cream and it doesnt settle with powder so I def will not be using this1
I wasnt particularly thrilled with this product. When Im not doing foundation, I will use a bb cream and set with a powder. I have and love Urban Decay's bb cream, but Dr. Jart's settled and defined my fine lines under my eyes. The feel and texture was fine, but I did not like the effect under my eyes. Would not purchase.1
I absolutely hated this BB cream. It was way too thick and sticky. Had to SCRUB my face vigorously with a wash cloth to get it off of my hands and face.1
Maybe the issue is that I was expecting different results from a BB cream... When the directions say to use instead of a tinted moisturizer, I'd expect similar coverage and texture. This stuff went on thick and heavy. It looked dark in my hand but when spread on my face it was far too light for my already fair complexion and looked as though i was wearing a clay face mask!! When I attempted to wash it off, the water just beaded up - I had to use face wash and then makeup remover to get it off of my skin!!! I threw away the rest of the sample, I don't think I'll be trying this or any other BB cream again.1
