While were happy these BB creams have spread like wildfire, we'll always have a soft spot for the Korean brand that started it all: Dr. Jart+. Their premium formula is a five-in-one primer, serum, moisturizer, SPF, and sheer tint. Made without parabens or sulfates, this creamy tinted balm tames problem complexions and is the cornerstone of a no-nonsense makeup routine. Arbutin brightens and evens out skin tone, while green tea and aloe vera soothe irritation. Rare caviar extract promotes collagen production, while titanium dioxide and zinc oxide provide broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.
I was really excited to try this product, but, unfortunately, it is not formulated well for my oily skin. It was completely gone by midday.1
I was willing to remain open-minded about this brand as I tried another product from them in the past which I did not care for. This product seemed to dry my face out and resulted in break outs. I'm not a fan of tinted moisturizers and this product did not change my mind.1
I put this on my face in the morning and immediately attempted to wash it off. It was extremely cakey and off-color. Looked like I was putting on a mud mask. Even better, it basically would NOT wash off. I had to use a scrubbing wash 3 times in order to get it off of my hands and face. This was immediately after putting it on my skin. This is the second Dr Jart product that has been this way, I will no longer even try them.1
If you have dry skin pass on this, I have dry skin, even with plenty of moisturiser under this my skin was flaking off all over the place within an hour. Now If you have very oily skin, it might be a good fit.1
This made my skin look really ashy in color, no matter how much I rubbed it in. It also made me feel greasy. This is a sample I will not finish.1
I am absolutely OBSESSED with the Water Fuse version of this BB Cream, but this detox bb cream terrorizes my skin and I always wake up the next morning with 50 new zits because of this bb cream1
This was the first BB cream I've tried. It went on thick and felt like greasepaint theater makeup. Contrary to the product description, the coverage was not at all sheer, which made the color of the cream an issue. And the color was really bad on my medium-fair skin - too tan/yellow and way too light. This definitely didn't work for me, and was not what I expected from the online description of the product.1
i've heard all the raves about Dr J+ as the inventor of BB creams, so i was excited to try this piece. unfortunately my skin didn't agree with the texture of this Dr. J+ BB cream. it was too heavy and didn't blend in to the skin well. it felt like a layer of cake on my face literary as the color didn't also blend in with my skin tone (comes in only 1 color).
sorry i have to give it a no on this.
While this beauty balm did give me good coverage, it was super thick and greasy-feeling. It was difficult to wash it off my hands after applying; I had to use a lot of soap and wash twice. I imagine it's the sunblock, which can often be really thick. Something this heavy-duty is not appealing to me.1
As much as I wanted to like this, I just couldn't. It was a little too thick for me and the color didn't match my skin tone. I already use a BB cream that I love that is lighter, blends easier, and doesn't look like I'm wearing pounds of concealer, so I think I'll stick with that.1
