While were happy these BB creams have spread like wildfire, we'll always have a soft spot for the Korean brand that started it all: Dr. Jart+. Their premium formula is a five-in-one primer, serum, moisturizer, SPF, and sheer tint. Made without parabens or sulfates, this creamy tinted balm tames problem complexions and is the cornerstone of a no-nonsense makeup routine. Arbutin brightens and evens out skin tone, while green tea and aloe vera soothe irritation. Rare caviar extract promotes collagen production, while titanium dioxide and zinc oxide provide broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.
I had never heard of this company before birchbox, but everything I try from them is fantastic. Easy to use and creamy with good coverage. I will definitely be purchasing items from this brand.5
I have always had such a difficult time finding quality facial products that help my complexion, moisturize, and also provide the coverage I want. After first receiving this cream as a sample, I was hooked and have used it daily ever since. I no longer use any powder whatsoever, no concealer even. This creamy, tinted balm is seriously like nothing else I've ever used. Definitely my absolute favorite purchase ever from Birchbox!5
I've been working on clearing up my adult acne, and now that my skin looks the best it has in about a decade I wanted to find a lighter coverage foundation. I've been working my way through a sample and definitely will be buying the full size product - the color happens to match my skin tone perfectly and it evens out redness but still shows my freckles, which I love. You can still see the texture of my skin and I can show off the fact that my hard work is finally paying off. It doesn't help with reducing oiliness, but even after I blot the product is still on my face.5
I enjoyed this sample. It covered evenly and added a nice smooth texture to my skin. I am probably in the minority when I say that I would prefer it without sunscreen.4
I have oily skin, and this product made no attempt to hide that. For someone with dry skin, I can imagine it would work quite well to create the "dewey" effect. I do not need that, and can not use this product at all.2
I've shied away from beauty balms as I've been using tinted moisturizers for quite a while so haven't liked the heavy texture of previous beauty balms I've tried. This product seems to go on quite heavy, which made me feel that I wouldn't end up liking it. When I checked the mirror some time later, I realized the beauty balm had set into my skin with a really nice finish. I'm still not ready to give up my multiple products with light tinted moisturizer finish, but Dr. Jart+'s BB has at least made me reconsider my previous opinion about such products.3
This was probably my favorite box so far because it included two products that I now can't live without: Dr. Jart+ Black Label Detox and Davines OI / All in One Milk. This BB cream has great coverage without being too heavy, it blends perfectly, it makes my skin look flawless. Nothing but good things to say about it! Oh, and I have owned a full size bottle for 7 months now and it's nowhere near empty (and I wear it every day).5
I have moderate rosacea on my cheeks, and I've strugled to find something that is lightweight, but also has good enough coverage to hide my rosacea. This BB cream is a lifesaver! Other users sometimes complain that this stuff is grey-ish, but I think that's what makes this such a great cover-up for rosacea. You don't need to use much - just a tiny bit, and the coverage is better than any tinted moisturizer I've used. The final result: light, breathable, natural, with sunscreen protection too! Love this stuff.5
How can you live without this product! It's all it claims to be. Primer, serum, moisturizer, spf and sheer tint. Brightens and evens out skin tone. Has green tea and aloe vera.5
I received this as a sample and it went right in the trash. The color was far too light for me, and the product seemed whipped and chalky. It didn't smooth over my skin well or provide the right coverage. Marcelle was a much bigger win for me, for a BB cream.1
