While oodles of skincare systems require multiple steps to get clear skin, this product battles blemishes in a single sweep. By opening, detoxing, and tightening pores, the one-step herbal-infused formula both battles existing blackheads and prevents future blemishes from forming. It's even gentle enough for sensitive skin, hydrating skin with regenerative botanicals. Natural ingredients like grapefruit extract and willow bark penetrate pores and eliminate dead skin cells, leaving your face glowing and feeling fresh. Olive oil conditions skin, while licorice root calms and purifies your complexion.
This product does pull pore clogging gunk toward the surface of the skin, but not all the way out; this has a few effects. To be fair, I may not be the right test subject for this. I didn't have any of the hard, dark black things that you can see from four feet away like I used to get. When i tried this product I had skin that was pimple free, but with clogged pores. Grey heads? Is that a thing? This product pulled that gunk forward, exposing it to oxygen, and creating actual small blackheads. Also to be fair, I only tried it for a week, but I couldn't continue because I started picking at my face to get the stuff out. I spent over 20 years trying to break that habit, and only recently had my skin gotten clear enough to stop. I can't have this product break that for me.
I can not find anywhere, on the packaging or internet, how to use this. Before, after, or in place of a cleanser? I ended up washing my face to remove makeup, using the product and rinsing as directed, then finding my face horribly sticky, and washing with cleanser again.
I would absolutely return this product if I hadn't already used the mask that I got as a bonus gift.
Having previously purchased items from this line and reading reviews I was expecting a bit more from this product. For those familiar with rolling creams this is a rolling cream with out so much rolling.3
Great product. Does what it says it will do plus it is very gentle! I will continue buying this awesome magic potion!
Burned a little but when I put it on at first... Didn't really purge my pores like I was wanting but going to continue using and hope it gets my blackheads cleared up3
I am prone to blackheads and this didn't really do much for me. Perhaps if you have less oily skin it will work better. I think for the money and size there are way way better choices (the Paula's choice products kick this things booty for roughly half the price).
Overall I don't think the Dr. Jart products are great for Mediterranean/Oily skin. I've been left wanting after each one.
This stuff is fantastic! I have huge pores and oily skin. Oil tends to dry inside my pores, kind of like a black head but it doesn't stick out it just makes my pores look even bigger and clogs them. When I used this, all of that hard dried oil came out right in my hands without much effort and zero squeezing. I'm hooked!5
This really deep cleans your face. Leave it on for ten mins and it just washes away all deep skin and impurities.5
I love this one because it's gentle and I can roll the product off my face. A little time consuming but if used regularly there is some difference in the amount of blackheads4
As someone prone to black heads, I wanted to love this product but I really did not see much of a difference. For the price, I think there are better options out there.3
I was definitely skeptical the first few times I used this. I poured over reviews on many websites looking for what people used as "proof" that this was working - some claimed if you saw blobs rolling up, this was what made up your blackheads. Well, sorry, that was still happening over areas where I had no blackheads, so clearly that's not true. I used this 2-3 times without seeing any results and was starting to feel bummed.
BUT - one time, after leaving it on for about 30 minutes, I did literally watch as my finger swept away a blackhead, then another, and a few more. So as I understand it, the product goes into pores and dissolves the contents, which makes sense.
This will not be a miracle worker, and you have to be consistent with it to see results, which I'm bad about (I'm thinking at least 1-2x/week).
Would be nice to see longer-lasting results especially being that I'm diligent about washing my face and keeping it clean anyway. So in a sense that is frustrating to still have to do so much work.
