While oodles of skincare systems require multiple steps to get clear skin, this product battles blemishes in a single sweep. By opening, detoxing, and tightening pores, the one-step herbal-infused formula both battles existing blackheads and prevents future blemishes from forming. It's even gentle enough for sensitive skin, hydrating skin with regenerative botanicals. Natural ingredients like grapefruit extract and willow bark penetrate pores and eliminate dead skin cells, leaving your face glowing and feeling fresh. Olive oil conditions skin, while licorice root calms and purifies your complexion.
I bought this product b/c I have blackheads on my T-Zone area and just cant seem to get rid of them. So I got this to see what it could do. The first time I used it, I was pleased. After I rinsed it off, my face where I used the product was so so so soft and felt clean and just pure, like it had removed every bit of oil, makeup, dry skin etc from my face. The only thing is I guess I expected it to remove more visible blackheads and it didnt. But then I continued to use it, about twice a week and then I could see the difference. So if you do get Dr Jart Black Label Detox, to see results, you do need to use it consistently. Then you WILL be happy with it :) Oh and I was so happy that it didnt aggrevate my rosacea like most products do. Another perk!3
This product does pull pore clogging gunk toward the surface of the skin, but not all the way out; this has a few effects. To be fair, I may not be the right test subject for this. I didn't have any of the hard, dark black things that you can see from four feet away like I used to get. When i tried this product I had skin that was pimple free, but with clogged pores. Grey heads? Is that a thing? This product pulled that gunk forward, exposing it to oxygen, and creating actual small blackheads. Also to be fair, I only tried it for a week, but I couldn't continue because I started picking at my face to get the stuff out. I spent over 20 years trying to break that habit, and only recently had my skin gotten clear enough to stop. I can't have this product break that for me.
I can not find anywhere, on the packaging or internet, how to use this. Before, after, or in place of a cleanser? I ended up washing my face to remove makeup, using the product and rinsing as directed, then finding my face horribly sticky, and washing with cleanser again.
I would absolutely return this product if I hadn't already used the mask that I got as a bonus gift.
I love this one because it's gentle and I can roll the product off my face. A little time consuming but if used regularly there is some difference in the amount of blackheads4
Admittedly I only used this once so far but I really like it! It doesn't have a strong smell or a minty, numbing effect some other products have. It cleared up the pores on my nose and upper lip that give me a lot of trouble, and my existing/upcoming blemishes were easy to extract. So far the inflammation is down, too. And as someone with dry skin, it was nice not to have to double-moisturize after using it, like with other treatments!5
Loving other products from this brand, I definitely had high hopes. When I first tried the stuff, I noticed the citrusy smell (that'll get 1 star ) & it tingled, which felt nice (star 2). After that, it was downhill. I washed it off and my skin felt like an oil slick. I got a nasty breakout & zero benefits. Hope it works for someone. I was disappointed.2
I wanted to LOVE this. Sadly, it did nothing more than break me out and smell strong. Granted, I have peculiar skin. This may be the miracle for some. It just wasn't for me .1
I have been looking for something to get rid of blackheads on my nose that I've had my entire life. This gel worked well . I will plan to purchase4
I read a review on this that said if you use this correctly then it works really well, but I found it anymore effective than comparable drugstore pore products.
For reference, I've used it as directed (leave on for 15 minutes, rub in, then rinse off) and I've also left it on overnight (more effective). But I'm just not wowed.
I need to be better about using this product every day, but when I do use it, it definitely makes a little bit of a difference. I'm sure if I was more regular with it, it would work much better.4
This actually does what it says on the label. I also like that it's not overly drying to the skin after use.5
