Discover the secret passed from nursing mothers to make-up artists. Originally created for new mothers facing sore nipples from breastfeeding, Dr. Lipp's ultrahydrating, healing formula later gained a rep as the ultimate lip gloss, primer, and multipurpose balm among savvy makeup artists. And with everything it does—prep lips to make lipstick wear better, add shine to cheeks, even tame unruly eyebrows—it'll earn a prized place in your makeup bag too. Packed with all-natural ingredients, this thick, rich, long-lasting formula is clinically proven to repair rough, flaky lips and smooth dry skin patches—plus it helps heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns, and itchy dry skin.
I've been using Lansinoh on my lips for 12 years -- it's the same product (but marketed to breastfeeding mothers for their nipples). You get 1.4 ounces for about $6-$9 (depending on the store --grocery, Target, WalMart, etc.), instead of this puny 1/2 ounce size for $14. If you want a small size for your purse, just squeeze some into an empty lipgloss pot, put it in the microwave until it melts into liquid; put it in the fridge until it hardens again and -- voila! -- you have the perfect lipbalm/gloss. It's the best thing out there for your lips, hands down. I swear by it and would never use anything else.1
I love this so much that I own a full size bottle of it that I purchased from Birchbox! It is awesome for your lips as a primer, for chapped lips, for any rashes or dry patches and much much more! I have used it for so many different things with awesome results! A must have for the winter! Thanks for the delux sample! It went straight into my purse!5
This is the one product I have gotten as samples and bought twice because it is that good. keep one t work, one in my purse and one at home. This smooth balm is amazing, rich and will heal all of your dry patches wherever they are. High five!5
I'm sure this has wonderful benefits and many uses, but it is just not for me. I should give it a better try but am rather turned off by the name alone.1
The best moisturizing lip balm out there! ( and I have tried them ALL) it also has a great sheen and a bit of plumping!5
I was excited to try this because my lips are a complete disaster and always dry. Although it basically hydrates and makes my lips feel moisturized, I can't get past the thickness of the balm. I feel like I'm putting slippery cement on my lips. If it were scented it might help but it almost makes it worse that there's no fragrance.3
There are not many things I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone, but this product works wonders! I use it on my hands and eyelids when they're dry, my lips practically every day, and even my boyfriend's cracked hands. This stuff works wonders, and is not greasy like Vaseline products. Leaves your skin and lips feeling light, yet still hydrated! Incredible!5
I have very high expectations for lip products, since I have a ton of them, and this held up to my test! It's not too sticky, but stays on and feels good and keeps my lips moist! You don't need too much of it to cover your lips, either!5
I must admit I was bought this mostly because I was curious about the product. I used it mostly overnight because it is heavy but very restorative. My lips during the winter get really cracked and bleed. This was very gentle even with the bleeding. I definitely noticed a difference the next day. It's a small tube but a little bit goes a long way.5
While this balm doesn't last ALL DAY, it really does help repair dry cuticles and chapped lips. I use it all over actually. If my nose is try from blowing it from allergies, I put it on during the day and within a few hours my nose isn't chapped anymore. I always put some on my face overnight and wake up smooth!5
