Discover the secret passed from nursing mothers to make-up artists. Originally created for new mothers facing sore nipples from breastfeeding, Dr. Lipp's ultrahydrating, healing formula later gained a rep as the ultimate lip gloss, primer, and multipurpose balm among savvy London makeup artists. Packed with all-natural ingredients, this thick, rich, long-lasting formula is clinically proven to repair rough, flaky lips and smooth dry skin patches. But that's only the beginning of what it can do: This hydrating, protective formula helps heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns, itchy dry skin, and even diaper rash. It can also solve a range of beauty conundrums, from stopping sequins from chafing and smoothing unruly eyebrow hairs to subbing in as a last-minute shoe polish.
So as a nursing mom who uses nipple cream...just buy some nipple cream! It's cheaper and just as effective.1
I don't think this will ever be able to replace my current lip balm or what I use on my cuticles.1
This lip "balm" is so sticky, it's a thick mess and doesn't go on easy. I put it on with my finger and it left my finger sticky and gross and it tastes a little weird.1
I got the Buzzfeed box this month (which I was a little sad about after I had chosen it- because shortly thereafter all of the sneak peeks came out and everything else for this month looked amazing).
Regardless, this stuff is AMAZING and I never knew how much I needed it until I had it. SO GLAD I GOT THIS!! I will definitely be buying it soon. It is a miracle worker on my lips and my cuticles. Fantastic job, Birchbox. You win this time.
Very similar if not exactly like bag bum. The sample size was only able to be used about 2 to 3 times. Additionally I did not find this product to do what it claims to do.1
I didn't really like the smell or taste of this product and I felt off putting it on my lips.1
I thought this would be a very cool product! But it tasted terrible and it didn't smell good either. It was just like Vaseline, with smell taste and texture. Wouldn't spend the money on this when I could just get Vaseline. It worked to moisturize my lips, but wasn't a delightful process.1
Supposedly this is a multipurpose product but I found that I had no use for this. I am not a new mom so I have no sore nipples. I tried this as a lip gloss and I really did not like this product at all. It was greasy and felt icky on my lips. The formula is to runny in my opinion. This product smears all over. Not a fan at all. Lastly, with oily skin I wouldn't even dare use this product as a primer.1
Until recently, I was a nursing mother. During that time I became familiar with all of the nipple butters out there and their effectiveness as lip and body moisturizers. I am allergic to lanolin and I learned this the (very!) hard way. This product is not hypo-allergenic as advertised (because I'm a sucker, I tried it) and is, in fact, no different than the giant tube of Lanolin I can use for breastfeeding, yet it still costs 2x or more than the breastfeeding stuff.
In conclusion: expensive and allergenic.
i didnt really like this balm. it was sticky and almost dry. for a lip balm i expect something that feels a little more moist and slick.1
