Discover the secret passed from nursing mothers to make-up artists. Originally created for new mothers facing sore nipples from breastfeeding, Dr. Lipp's ultrahydrating, healing formula later gained a rep as the ultimate lip gloss, primer, and multipurpose balm among savvy makeup artists. And with everything it does—prep lips to make lipstick wear better, add shine to cheeks, even tame unruly eyebrows—it'll earn a prized place in your makeup bag too. Packed with all-natural ingredients, this thick, rich, long-lasting formula is clinically proven to repair rough, flaky lips and smooth dry skin patches—plus it helps heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns, and itchy dry skin.
I don't get the hype of this product. Maybe it's because i've nursed before and have had actual nipple balm around for a while. This is pretty much the exact same thing(as it states to be). It's ok to moisturize cuticles but it feels sticky on lips and wears off quickly.2
Straight forward product. Incredibly thick balm for dry lips or other areas, though after dragging a small amount across my lips I don't know how anyone could stand it on another part of their body that might attract dirt or fuzz. I will use the remainder at night prior to going to bed when I can't fixate on the feel of it on my mouth.2
I'm not sure about this product. It was sort of thick and goopy and really hard to get out of the sample container.2
Not a big fan of it. It felt like really thick Vaseline2
I wanted so badly to love this product. I nursed my children and I did in fact often use that nipple balm on my lips. Between the price per unit cost, and the really bad taste that stayed on my lips and in my mouth for what seemed like forever, I would suggest buying a balm at your local box store. It really pains me to say that.
It was a little too thick for me for everyday daytime wear, unless my lips were OVERLY chapped and in a desperate need for some hydration (i.e. during a windy snow trip). I prefer to use this before going to bed where I won't be able to notice the thickness of the balm, but am still keeping my lips from being dry.2
Using this product felt like putting sticky grease on my face. I wasn't a huge fan because of the texture and because I felt it just stayed on top of my skin and didn't soak in. I don't think it was any more effective for moisturizing my lips than any other lip balm/gloss that I currently own.2
This balm felt like a mix of Vaseline and Lanolin. Whereas it's a very cute tube and left my lips feeling well when used on them overnight, I had expected something that would both moisturize and look good when out of the house, and was left with something sticky and unkissable instead. The scent was not pleasing.2
This wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was way too thick for daily wear, and I didn't find it super moisturizing. Also, it turned my lips an odd off-white color. It was also very hard to get out of the tube.2
My first sample showed up empty and then I got to try it recently. After all of the rave reviews I was expecting some miracle balm. I only found it greasy and drying.2
