Originally created for new mothers facing sore nipples from breastfeeding, Dr. Lipp's ultrahydrating, healing formula later gained a rep as the ultimate lip gloss, primer, and multipurpose balm among savvy makeup artists. And with everything it does—prep lips to make lipstick wear better, add shine to cheeks, even tame unruly eyebrows—it'll earn a prized place in your makeup bag too. Packed with all-natural ingredients, this thick, rich, long-lasting formula is clinically proven to repair rough, flaky lips and smooth dry skin patches—plus it helps heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns, and itchy dry skin.
As a nursing mom living in a dry climate, this product was invented for people like me! I LOVED it! The only gripe I have is that the sample size was so tiny. But the product itself is a great moisturizer and works well all over the body! Highly recommend!5
I will not be purchasing this product. The balm itself is very thick and does not go on smoothly.3
This is now my holy grail lip balm!
I love this stuff! I put on before bed and my lips are all nice and soft in the morning. This is going to save my chapped lips this coming Winter.
I had chapped lips after returning from a vacation. I tried this and it felt good but nothing different from what I have been using!!3
This is great! I always used Vaseline and this is better!5
I LOVE this product. It's been especially helpful as the weather has gotten colder because my lips get so dry.5
Love this product-I use it at night before bed and wake up to soft, non chapped lips. Definitely a must, esp for those harsh northeast winters!3
I like this product. The only problem was that it was an immediate fix, but not a fix all.3
I am a lip balm JUNKIE. I must always have some balm on hand, and I have one HG balm I use all the time. Along comes my BB to offer me new ones to try, and I'm glad I get them but, so far, nothing has replaced my HG. This one, however, is a bit different. I was really hesitant--kind of put-off--by the name of the product, until I realized it was a lip balm. Now, I don't care for balms that feel thin and greasy, like petroleum-based ones can often feel. That said, this lip balm has some body to it, with a pleasant "stick" to it. You don't need to keep reading if you like the slick consistency of others as mentioned above. The sample is tiny (it will fit into a tight jeans pocket) but only a really tiny amount is needed to get the job done. It's all natural, which always attracts me--I love all natural, but IT HAS TO WORK. This does--it has good staying power, no discernible taste or scent, and feels a bit creamier than an ointment. I'd put a gloss on over it, but not a lipstick (without blotting first). If I'm at home or going out without (gasp) lipstick on, I'm putting this on. I'm not a screaming fan of balms that go on with a fingertip (guess I'll have to start ALWAYS packing tissues!) but am finding that what remains on my fingertip is GREAT on cuticles. So there it is-love it, probably buying it, and will tuck it all over the house and in every bag and pocket like I do with my HG. I'm a definite fan!4
i was really excited to try this product because i am a lover of all balms but was pretty disappointed... the texture is REALLY thick and sticky. it reminds me of a thick vaseline. i was not a fan unfortunately. the name kind of threw me off too... why nipple? it just reminds me of something you'd use for cracked nipples while breastfeeding. gross. not for my lips, thanks!2
