Discover the secret passed from nursing mothers to make-up artists. Originally created for new mothers facing sore nipples from breastfeeding, Dr. Lipp's ultrahydrating, healing formula later gained a rep as the ultimate lip gloss, primer, and multipurpose balm among savvy makeup artists. And with everything it does—prep lips to make lipstick wear better, add shine to cheeks, even tame unruly eyebrows—it'll earn a prized place in your makeup bag too. Packed with all-natural ingredients, this thick, rich, long-lasting formula is clinically proven to repair rough, flaky lips and smooth dry skin patches—plus it helps heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns, and itchy dry skin.
This product is very weird for me... I put it on my lips (even though I read it was intended for nursing mothers with aching nipples) and it was very thick and cakey, though it did protect my dry and chapped lips as well as any vaseline or lip balm would. I liked it all except for how thick and sticky it was. I only tried it on my lips though... haven't tried it on other parts of my body so I can't attest to how well it works elsewhere.4
I am not sure about this product. It is very sticky. But you know what, when a severe cold front came through, I went straight to this because my lips were so dry. It definitely works.3
I have issues with severly chapped lips and this worked wel. It also stayed on for a long time. I would recommend4
My lips are always really dry in the fall and winter months. I typically use Chapstick like it's going out of style and I'm shocked at how much better this product makes my lips feel. It's thick but not sticky and a little goes a long way. Thanks for introducing me to another awesome product, Birchbox!5
This product worked great on my lips, but it also works wonders for my cuticles! It'll be great to help me get through the winter with a good manicure.4
It stays on even if you eating something. It works very well. I have chapped lips very often and this is one of the nicest lip balms I've tried.5
Living in the frigid midwest, my lips are chapped 90% of the year. I love using this at night; my lips are soft and smooth when I wake up in the morning.5
I already owned this balm but don't mind having the extra sample around. It is nice to have in the colder months...the full-size is quite small but has lasted me over 6 months of applications each morning. I find it to be similar to Aquaphor in quality (very effective) but cuter packaging :)4
The sample size is very small, so no more than two uses. I like this for my lips but it is very sticky to me. Not sure I would use this everyday.4
This is exactly what I needed to get me through the cold northern winter months. Perfect for lips and hands!5
