Discover the secret passed from nursing mothers to makeup artists. Originally created for new moms facing sore nipples from breastfeeding, Dr. Lipp's ultrahydrating, healing formula later gained a rep as the ultimate multipurpose balm among savvy makeup artists. And with everything it does (moisturize lips, make lipstick wear longer, add shine to cheeks, tame unruly eyebrows, and heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns, and dry skin), it'll earn a prized place in your makeup bag, too. A 2015 and 2016 bronze winner at the Green Parent Natural Beauty Awards, the thick, rich, long-lasting formula is packed with all-natural ingredients and is clinically proven to repair rough, flaky lips and smooth dry skin patches.
Where has this been all my life? This stuff is a lifesaver for matte lipsticks. Usually at the end of the day my lips are rough and cracked, but after using this the were only slightly dry. It doesn't do much to revive cracked lips, but it can protect moistuized ones.5
This product is sticky but effective. I haven't used it as a primer and imagine that it would work well as it has a sticky consistency. I primarily use it when I go to bed to renew and repair my lips while I sleep!4
At first the name definitely throws you off. But once it's on your lips are smooth and glossy! I can't wait to use this for the cold NY weather :)5
chapstick carmex were always my go to lip balm for bedtime. I love this product!! I put it on my lip and cuticles before bed.5
I thought this did a really great job of moisturizing and protecting my lips. I only wish there was an applicator on the tube.4
I really enjoyed this balm for my lips, because it does a great job of keeping them hydrated. It doesn't wear away like ChapStick tends to. However, I don't care for the smell, and the texture was a bit thick.4
The packaging and marketing of this product might be a little different but it's the same exact product that is sold for breastfeeding mothers. There's no way I'd pay more because the packaging looks better. If you want to put nipple balm on your lips, which feels kind of gross, then buy the cheaper stuff at the grocery store.1
Awesome little sample that fits in any small wristlet for those holiday parties. A little sticky but it stays on which I need this time of year. Not flavored so you don't lick it either which is good.5
I've been dying to try this product! And it couldn't have come at a better time! It's been 25degs and SO dry here! My lips love the consistancy, it is a little sticky, but I like it that way. Stays on for a very long time with no gross taste.5
I love this thick lipbalm. It felt great on, lasted a long time, and I am going to buy it! Love love love!5
