Greaseless and Effective

Nipple balm seems like a unusual name for a chapped lip product but I was suffering when this arrived. Because it is a balm, the thick consistency penetrates the chapped lips. I only needed 2 applications before feeling relief.

Over-priced

Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips contains only one ingredient: 100% Anhydrous Ultra Purified Medical (USP) Grade Lanolin. This same ingredient in a tube or packaged as a chapstick type formula is readily available in many brands at your local pharmacy store or online. The size being sold is about a half an oz for 14.50. I can get a full oz of the exact same ingredient in a tube for about 7.00 for a full oz. It's a great and useful ingredient, but I won't be spending my money on a fancy brand. It simply makes no sense to do so. All that being said anhydrous lanolin is a wonderful and beneficial balm that has a zillion uses for skin. :)

Great for winter protection
Sampled

Overall I really like this stuff… thicker than normal chapstick and lasts longer. You don't need much for total coverage so even a small tube will last a decent amount of time. Planning on buying a larger size to get me through winter.

Every winter I suffer from chapped lips. This year alone I've tried four different lip balms and nothing worked until this. My lips have healed. It have great shine and is long lasting. You can put it on ar night and wake up with soft lips in the morning. I love it!

Expensive Lansinoh
Sampled

This product is very similar to a breastfeeding cream I used called Lansinoh. It has the same consistency, taste, color and smell. I have been using my old tube of breastfeeding lotion for years on my chapped lips. This product is simply a more expensive version of the same stuff.
