Originally created for new mothers facing sore nipples from breastfeeding, Dr. Lipp's ultrahydrating, healing formula later gained a rep as the ultimate lip gloss, primer, and multipurpose balm among savvy makeup artists. And with everything it does—prep lips to make lipstick wear better, add shine to cheeks, even tame unruly eyebrows—it'll earn a prized place in your makeup bag too. Packed with all-natural ingredients, this thick, rich, long-lasting formula is clinically proven to repair rough, flaky lips and smooth dry skin patches—plus it helps heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns, and itchy dry skin.
This product works really well! It goes on pretty thick so it stays on and lasts for a while. I would recommend using this product!5
I absolutely love this product! Was so excited when I received it in my October Birchbox because it was a sample I was really eager to try! It does not really have a smell and it is a very thick formula and can be sticky if too much is applied. However I do love it! It keeps my lips super moist which is nice since it is winter and gives lips a nice shine to them. I don't know if I would like this in the summer though but I will definitely be purchasing the full size version of this product because it lasts and will protect lips from the harsh winter cold.5
I sampled this maybe a year ago. I LOVE it. Have already purchased 2 tubes. Best balm, I use it every night.5
I've actually received this sample twice in my Birchbox, but I really like it. It actually makes my lips VERY soft, and it stays on for hours. Sample size is really, really small, though.4
Great for my lips. Definitely will be purchasing this one!5
You have to be very careful with how much you apply or it can get too thick and goopy. Don't expect to use this under lipstick or gloss but more like a night treatment. It honestly felt no different than slathering Vasoline on my lips.3
As a Birth Doula, I actually loved that this was first nipple cream! It's hilarious and a great ice breaker, when working with laboring women! I'm excited to purchase this product in the future.5
Consistency wise it was close to vaseline. It does stay on the lips better than traditional chapstick but I wouldn't wear it right before going in public or going to bed. It needs time to permeate the skin as it is thick and slightly greasy. I think it will work well if used consistently over a period of a few weeks.4
This will come in great use for being outside in the upcoming winter months, the weather is so unpredictable in New England! I will definitely use this while I ski , shovel, and just while at work!4
Works well but doesn't last very long on your lips and really wouldn't spend $15 on lip balm4
