If the phrase “your highness” makes you think of an aging queen with a helmet head of gray hair, you need to get out more. This volume-boosting mousse bestows even the lowliest commoner with a much more rock ‘n’ roll version of royal hair. The fast-acting formula takes hair to new heights and lasts for hours—so you can spend more time cavorting with dukes and princes.
I have super fine hair and I tried using this product twice and felt it did give my hair any boost or volume.3
I have fine textured hair, and this definitely gave me a lot more volume. The texture is weird, I keep thinking my bottle is defective because it's more runny rather than foamy like other mousses. But it actually works and my hair is still soft.3
I have a few TIGI products that I really love but this one is a little flat for me. My current root booster works great and this one is okay but not my favorite product.3
I'm not a huge fan of Tigi products - they usually smell like an overly sugared teenage dream. This product isn't too bad though, a more mild scent than usual. It worked fairly well after I did blow dried my hair straight, but it only lasted about an hour before I started seeing noticable droop and it made my already oily hair look oily much quicker than normal. I have very thin, very fine hair, so most volumizing products don't work well for me.3
I blow dry my hair every three days and would love to see extra volume for those in between days. I was excited when I saw this in my February box, but was a little disappointed after my first use. This may be because I have pretty thick and long hair. I also did not particularly care for the smell of the mousse.3
This product is great, but my hair doesn't need extra volume.3
I love adding volume to my hair; this product offers great volume but it leaves the roots feeling knotty (like a birds nest). My hair looked amazing and big but when I touched it felt knotty (and like there was product residue).
This is great in place of teasing (which also creates that knotty volume).
I could see combining TIGI Your Highness Root Boost with teasing for a Peggy Bundy look. :)
This is on par with most root boosters. I would rather not have to spray on hands first. Smell is weird, but it does it's job, just as many others do.3
i often don't blow dry my hair but since i got this as a sample i wanted to try, it did add some volume to my hair which is fine and flat, but the smell was a bit too strong, if it only had a better smell it'd be pretty much a perfect volumizer.
Also is not sticky which is awesome!
I'm not much of a user of hairspray, and I thought that the product was okay, nothing particularly special.3
