Whether you’re after a volumizing updo worthy of red-carpet royalty or a sleek blowout, this versatile styler will serve you well. TIGI’s texturizing cream both thickens puny topknots and tames errant flyaways. Plus, the long-lasting ingredients ensure your ‘do stays perfect from early evening cocktails to late-night…we’ll leave that up to you.
This product thickened and added volume and texture to my waist-length, thick, pin-straight dark blonde hair. Because my hair is so straight and silky, styling can be difficult because it just slips right out and has no grip to it. This styling cream adds just enough texture to hold all sorts of styles (especially braids!), without being too sticky, heavy or stiff. It also gives amazing volume, which is something I had previously given up on, especially with my hair being as long and heavy as it is. On top of that, it smells fantastic, almost like candy but not overwhelmingly sweet. I apply about a quarter-sized amount to towel-dried hair, blow-dry upside-down for maximum volume, then either leave it as is or proceed to style as desired. After dismissing it after I first received the sample, I found myself in a pinch one day and decided to try it. I then used the remainder of the sample within a week and knew I needed to purchase the full size. I now use this between 4-5 times a week and honestly can't imagine how I ever lived without it. Truly amazing product. Thank you, Birchbox, for bringing us together!5
This product left my hair smelling great! I liked the product when I first tried it, but by the end of the day it left my hair feeling dirty. I typically wash my hair every other day, but this product needs to be washed out a few hours after each use, especially for hair as thick as mine! Bottom line: The immediate results are great, tho!
Love this product! It keeps my hair in place all day without it getting crunchy or slimy looking! Sometimes I use it instead of hairspray!!4
I have shoulder length, frizzy, damaged, medium curly blond hair and am always looking for the next best product. Right of the get-go, I love this for a few reasons. It smells fantastic and is creamy and easy to apply. I put about a quarter-sized dollop in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and work it into the bottom half of my hair (I stay away from my roots so I don’t add any extra oils). It helps with frizz and keeps my curls styled the way I want them to all day. I love it and am planning on trying the other products in this line as well. Hopefully, the rest will smell just as good :).5
I love this all-purpose styling cream! I have frizzy, wavy hair and I use this on my wet or dry hair to smooth and tame my frizzy locks. If I use it on wet hair it combats frizz from the get-go. If I use it on dry hair it acts as a gel or styling product and I can shape and define my waves with precision while taming frizz at the same time. It also lasts quite awhile and you don't have to reapply the product very often. I put it on in the morning and my 'do stays fresh pretty much all day long. A must-have!5
I adore this product! I got this in my birch box and couldn't be more thrilled! I literally can't get enough and am dreading the day it runs out (will HAVE to get more!). It smoothes my hair from frizz while giving me soft curls that make my curls easier to deal with. I would say that this product is worth your money! Can't wait to try more TIGI products!!!5
Works really well! The only thing bad about it is that it makes my hands really sticky. I love how it smoothes out my hair!5
I really like the smell of this product (I know some people totally disagree) I use this when I'm trying to style my hair (curling or get a lot of volume)3
I have really fine, wavy hair, and I'm always looking for something to tame frizz! This styling cream did just that. The smell is something I would describe as relatively unisex, and the scent didn't linger for long. I tend to wash my hair, and then run a smoothing serum or cream through my hair while it's still damp. While it didn't do anything to moisturize my tresses, it kept my waves sleek and under control.4
I have medium curly hair with frizz and it works to a certain extent, but other not so expensive products work the same.3
