In our quest to eradicate zits we’ve tried our fair share of pimple-busting products—with mixed results. This radical serum may very well be The One. The doctor-developed formula penetrates the skin, going straight to the source to eliminate trapped bacteria, dirt, and oil to restore damaged skin. It gets the job done quickly and gently, without irritating or over-drying your skin. The patent-pending YS3 Complex delivers blemish-banishing ingredients, like tea tree oil and salicylic acid, beneath the skin’s surface. Willow bark extract reduces inflammation and redness. Bonus: The serum also tackles surface scars and hyperpigmentation.
This product can stop a pimple form fully forming. I will not be without it!5
I always have high hopes for blemish creams and serums, but I'm always let down after trying them. I think part of that is because I want something to act very quickly, so my rating might be lower just based on my expectations. It did what I expected it to do, just not as quickly as I would have preferred (as in, I wish I could have woke up the next morning blemish free).3
So look. If you have acne and it bothers you, there will never be a panacea, a cure-all, end-all sort of thing. If you have acne and it bothers you, what a limited budget can buy is a really, really good placebo.
This line of treatment is a pretty good placebo. I think it might work but who knows? Zits don't just disappear but I think this product does prevent some swelling and speeds up the pimple life cycle.
I would just use my normal tube salicylic acid that I've been using for a couple months but a definite plus about this product is that it feels really nice on your skin. It's refreshing. The texture is cooling and not too thick - you'll see. Try it out the placebo effect has been known to cure certain ailments.
I have always had okay skin. This February I started using dimethicone-heavy primers, and purchased a Clairisonic. I have ceased use of the primers, but have been suffering from terrible acne on my cheeks since. I got this as a sample in my first Birchbox, and in the four months since it's been the ONLY thing that has cleared up my skin.
It's second ingredient is Azeleaic acid, and it contains lots of other skin-loving ingredients. $35 for 0.5 oz is steep, but my tiny sample lasted me a couple weeks. I am thrilled to purchase this item, and so glad that Birchbox introduced us. It is the only Birchbox item I've loved enough to buy so far.
i feel its hard to really review a skin care product based on small sample sizes, because you need to gauge the product over time. With that being said I was happy with this product, it didn tover dry in applied areas which is a big deal for me. I would use again.3
I've never seen anything like this! It's definitely amazing! It worked overnight to clear up my skin. I LOVE this product!5
I used to use tea tree oil a few years ago on my skin but got tired of the smell. I really enjoyed using this serum, the smell was faint and it did a really good job of clearing up some problem spots.4
It works pretty well to help dry up pimples faster than waiting it out. I put it on after cleansing, usually at night. It smells clean, like tea tree oil. A little goes a long way.4
I used this sample up way too fast - this is a great product. Gentle but incredibly effective at shrinking zits, even the underground kind. Didn't dry out my skin. Applied smoothly. And did I mention it really WORKS? In a world where most OTC acne products don't deliver, this one does.5
Didn't really make a difference, but did make skin feel smoother and less dry. For one that is used to getting acne, there are no immediate results as some other types of acne treatment.3
