We love a lipstick that delivers intense, long-lasting color—and this smudge-proof formula doesn’t disappoint. The hydrating, antioxidant-rich lipstick does double duty as a lip treatment, and, best of all, MAKE donates one-third of all sales to the brand’s parent non-profit, which supports women-led cooperatives.
I got the lipstick in Taffy... I loved the way it felt but the color reminded me of the lip color they use on corpses to view the body. It was the WORST color EVER. I really like the texture and how it made my lips feel but the color was just awful.2
i did not like the colors in the box or the 'creaminess' of it , it was too thick and cakey , didnt make my lips look nice at all unless i went over it with some clear gloss, didnt notice anything new or exciting about the lipstick wasnt impressed at all2
I received the Putty color sample in my March Birchbox. The packaging was cute, and the sample size decent. However, the color was not a color that would be universally flattering. It looked like...well...PUTTY on my lips. I wiped it off so I can't honestly say anything in regards to longevity, but the coverage didn't seem all that fabulous either. This product was just kind of MEH for me.2
The color - taffy - was nice, but the lipstick did not last long. Also, the sample size was really small! It is awkward to put on.2
Feels great going on, but only so-so staying power. Matte as advertised. Maraschino color wasn't great for me, but would have been interested to try others.2
The color was nice, though a little dark for a product I'd use in spring/summer. I thought the lipstick went on a little to thick, though, and it seemed to flake away quickly after eating. A little drying, as well.2
This sample was so tiny and difficult to hold I could barely use it. It seemed to dry out my lips and didn't last long. Not one of my favorites, sorry.2
I got this sample in the "Putty." It feels ok for a lipstick, but the color looks really washed out and made me look like I had concealer on my lips. I don't know if the other shades are more flattering, but this one just wasn't for me. I do like that they donate to charity though, and the finish was smooth.2
The sample was too small to identify if I liked the product or not.2
This sample came on a card with a couple lipstick shades in little wells. I tried all the shades. I could not handle the texture of this lipstick. It was incredibly dry and difficult to apply with a brush. Within minutes, it had completely dried out my lips and the color was peeling off with the skin from my lips. The primer that came with it did not help. It was not creamy and didn't blend well, even with a balm added. I threw the sample away.1
