This time of year always puts us in a sentimental mood. We’ve been thinking about everything we love, from the major things like friends and family to smaller ones like our morning latte and indulgent cashmere gloves. For our latest limited edition box, we looked to the keepsakes in our beauty collection—you know, the standbys we rely on so much that we’ve been tempted to pen odes in their honor. You’ll also find a selection of customer-approved best sellers, not to mention a new treat or two. A $76 value!
I received this box yesterday and was plesently dissapointed. The Stilla highliter is damaged. ( One of the tubes does not have but a pea size amout of product.) I do not feel this was property priced at $40.00. These same sample size items would appear in my monthly subscription for $10.00.
The volume spray is almost the only product I look foward to using and would purchase the full size. The rest I will not be purchasing from birchbox.com.
I did like some of the products in the box, but overall i didnt feel it was worth the price.3
I liked the idea of treating myself to a little extra on valentines day. But... being a woman in my 40s I really had no use for the body shimmer. I did try the nail polish and thought it was the perfect shade for a little shimmer. Unfortunately it lasted all of 2 days (less on the toes) after a professional mani/pedi. I was a little disappointed. Especially since it began flaking during dinner while I was eating... making a mess. The rest of the box was a home run.3
purchased as a little valentine treat for myself - my fave products were:
1) the cargo lip gloss (flattering color even though I didnt think it would be when I originally saw it)
2) the bobby pins - so cute and pretty! When I flat iron my hair, I pull back just the top and clip it and it stays perfectly!
The rest was fine, not sure Id purchase but fun to get anyhow...
Lots of things I would be hesitant to pick out for myself, but loved getting to try. Have already purchased some more of the highlighters and the hairspray because I liked them so much.4
I was beyond excited to order this box but my initial excitement was stalled when I opened the box to discover that I didn't order a set of pretty lip glosses but illuminators. That being said they are really pretty and I have used the illumators for all sorts of things from blush, to lip gloss (taste funky so not recommended but if desperate these do the trick).4
My favorite part of this collection was the nail polish color. It came in handy for spring. The highligher set is nice to use on my cheeks and it's nice to have a few colors to choose from depending on my eyemakeup choice. The lipgloss didn't go well with my skintone so I gave it to a friend and she loves it. I like to use the hair clips on days when I do a messy bun. They add a little but of fun to my do'. I love the hair spray as it adds alot of volume. I use steam rollers and when removing them i spray under the curl and it adds alot of fun volume. The mascare was a nice choice. It didn't clump, but also didn't add as much drama as I usually go for. Overall this was a nice collection at a great price.4
I was disappointed that the nail color was the same as maybe in December but I enjoyed the other products. Hair clips are fun and the volumizer spray was great.4
This special box allowed me to get all dolled up with the few extra touches I was looking for when I received this box. The "put a pin in it" nail polish was spot on with the amount of sparkle and rose hinted that I was aiming for to impress. The colorful bobby pins did wonders to give my up-do the glam look and to keep the back of my hair in place. The skin highlighters were very fun to play with and I would definitely recommend these for other girls interested in contrasting lines in makeup!4
The Cargo lip gloss and Stila all-over shimmer are my favorites in this box! Had a few doubles from past boxes, but I just gave them to a friend for Valentine's day!4
