Even if we walk out the door looking fabulous, our makeup is all but gone by five p.m. and we have to frantically reapply before happy hour. But if we use this long-lasting primer in the morning, we’re golden. The silicone-based formula smoothes over any bumps, dry patches, or blemishes so that our makeup slides on easily and stays fresh all day. We’ve even been known to use it to get a flawless look sans foundation on makeup-free Mondays!
I have always found this product to be greasy which is not good for my foundation application.1
This product is not something that I would use. My skin is not dry enough to merit this product being useful.1
This product did approximately nothing for me. It leaves an oily feel, but substantial, like smearing cold grease on your face. "Tacky" doesn't quite capture it. I understand this is just how some primers feel, however some primers also smooth out you blemishes and make your make-up stay put for a few hours. This product does not.
It's name is also really off-putting. "Spackle"? Really? Do you have a marketing department and are they aware women might not want to compare their face to drywall?
This primer felt sticky on my face and made me extra shiny. It might work better for someone with dry skin.1
Second time i received this as a bbox sample. Tired of the sample repeats did not like it first time round don't like it now.1
I tried this on one side of my face and went without primer on the other side. I couldn't detect the slightest difference between the two sides, neither when I first put it on nor at the end of the day.1
I am not a fan of primers in general. I think they leave a strange film on the top of my skin. I don't see the point, as foundation looks the same with or without it. This is just another thing to layer on, and potentially clog the pores.1
Made my face super oily, and I have never had an issue with oily skin in my life. Used only part of the container and had to stop.1
I expected this primer to make my skin silky smooth in preparation for my foundation, like the other primers I've tried. But this Spackle Under primer didn't do that. I apply it and can't tell any difference between my primed and unprimed skin. This was a disappointment.1
This stuff was too thick. It stuck to my skin and didn't spread nice at all. I also felt like it caused my foundation to cake up. It wasn't like a primer at all for me.2
