Our colleagues in the UK refer to these tress essentials as kirbies or hair grips, while in the US it’s thought their name comes from the phrase bits and bobs. Whatever you call them, bobby pins are a must-have in every beauty arsenal—and there’s no reason you need to hide them. This exclusive set of six chicly patterned pins adds instant style to all your ‘dos—display them proudly.
The design is really cute, but they're just too large. I have really thick hair and I couldn't use these to pin my hair half back (I couldn't use regular bobby pins for that either). I only use pins to tuck in a stray hair, which defeats the purpose of these since they'd be hidden. Cute but not for me.2
I got a pair of white bobby pins with the green pattern in my box, and I'm really happy with them. They are strong and hold my thick hair well, and they're so cute. They do pull a bit when removing them, but it's worth it to me since they hold my hair in a way ordinary bobby pins just can't. This is a must buy for me!4
These pins are very cute, nice designs and big enough to use in a bunch of different styles, but also thin enough to hide if that is what you want to do. I am just not a bobby pin person, my hair is just too thin and smooth, they always slip out.4
I have thick, curly hair and small bobby pins like these just get lost!1
These are totally cute with the design and color, but a bit long. They are nice and tight without pulling my hair but my wisps are finer and would be good with something shorter. As an accessory, I'd wear something half the size in my hair on a regular basis.4
The pattern is great and the bobby pins don't slip!4
These were just "meh" for me. I have very fine hair and nothing stays in it. They did kind of pull my hair too. On the right person they would be adorable though!3
These are very sturdy, adorable bobby pins. Great for my long, layered, thick hair!!5
These are cute in theory but in practice...
Not only were they difficult to "open" enough to get onto my hair (which isn't that thick), they were HORRIBLE to remove. They pulled out and ripped several strands of hair. I wish they would have worked and/or been less destructive because they are cute...
These barrettes are adorable but hard to get into place and hard to take out. They aren't very separable to get into place in your hair. Adorable though!2
