Our colleagues in the UK refer to these tress essentials as kirbies or hair grips, while in the US it’s thought their name comes from the phrase bits and bobs. Whatever you call them, bobby pins are a must-have in every beauty arsenal—and there’s no reason you need to hide them. This exclusive set of six chicly patterned pins adds instant style to all your ‘dos—display them proudly.
I was excited to see the cute green pins in my box this month. They look adorable, just be careful taking them out of your hair.4
These are nice if you actually use this product. They seem like they are very good quality and wont stretch out after the firs couple of uses.4
These pins are pretty dang cute... extra kudos to Birchbox for sending me my favorite color (the dark blue). These are nice to jazz up your hair a little, but I would not rely on them to keep bundles of hair in place. I will be using them to clip back bangs mostly. For more intense stylings I will just use regular Goody bobby pins.5
This bobby pin has such a strong hold. Typically they end up sliding out of my hair or I have to use 6 of them in one place. Love the navy color too!5
I was so excited to get these in my July box. I got the exact color that I wanted and I use bobby pins almost every day. These however, are just too tight, I can barely get them open to put in my hair. When I do get them in, they aren't holding enough hair and they pull my hair when I try to take them out. I am so bummed that they didn't work for me.1
I was completely thrilled to see something reuseable in my box this month. These bobby pins are colorful and fun and add an extra pop to my hairstyle. They're larger than my normal bobby pins so I only have to use the two for my desired look.4
The pattern designs are really cute but these things just tear my hair out when I try to remove them.1
I received these in my July Birchbox. They look really cute but were too tight for my hair.2
I love the pattern but they are a bit difficult to put in. I do not typically use bobby pins but I plan on experimenting with these since the pattern (I got the green) is so cute.3
These are really cute in my hair, but they are VERY hard to get out. While I appreciate they don't slip, I do not appreciate that I rip hair out of my head every time I remove on of these bobbypins.3
