All too often, style and substance are mutually exclusive—it’s rare that the stuff that gets the job done also looks good doing it. One exception to the rule: the contents of this sleek matte black bottle. The hydrating formula goes on smooth and helps protect your skin while allowing for a close, clean shave. This superlubricating cream will also wash off the blade a lot easier than heavier and denser shaving agents.
it's good shave cream but at the end of the day it's not much more than that really. sure it looks better than the cans of the other stuff but that's where it's advantages end.3
- Smells intriguing, people will find you intriguing as a result
- Goes on easily and foamily
- Keeps the razor from completely obliterating your face
- Cleans up really easily
- Smells intriguing, may clash with everything else you use
- Foams only slightly, not advisable for any razors that don't come with safety measures
- It seems as though it should have more stable coverage,
I use a straight razor and a standard razor, depending on where I am. In the unfortunate circumstance that you're stranded on a desert island and only have this and a straight razor, you'll be fine, but you'll also wonder if the bottle is accidentally filled with really thick shampoo instead of shaving cream.
When I think cream, I think "whoops, who let the whipped cream party start over here?" I think that because of previous experiences with, let's say, more foamy shaving creams.
This is not one of those shaving creams. This is meant to be smooth, slick, and get out of the way quickly. It does that quite well, especially the getting out of the way quickly part. It gets out of the way so quickly that by the time you get the razor to your face, you wonder what exactly happened to all the work you put into getting the cream on your face.
That is, it disappears quickly under pressure, and does a decent job for the first 30 seconds of shaving. An approach I'd recommend is to use it on half your face, then the other half, or even quarters... possibly eighths.
What I'm saying is if you're bad at fractions and ratios, this may not be the product for you. Then again, if you are bad at fractions and ratios, you should just buy 20 of them and not worry about it, as you'll probably lather up using a third of a bottle, and have the smoothest skin since butter was invented.
This product was okay, it worked well. My skin felt fine after I was done shaving but it's not a life changing product by any stretch. The one thing that I personally didn't like is that I couldn't see where it was applied on my face. I wasn't sure if I had covered my face, then once I had shaved I wasn't sure where I had and hadn't covered. Maybe that's a small thing but it bugged me. Please keep in mind that I'm using other products that I've learned of from Birchbox, not the $.99 can of foam my dad uses. It's a good product that I keep in my travel bag but I probably won't be ordering more any time soon.3
So this product has been great on my skin that I had to come review it. If you have sensitive skin and shaving often leaves you with razor burn or tiny bumps, this stuff is the solution to your problems! Looking forward to more products from GO 24/7.5
I really enjoyed this product. I thought it smelled nice and loved the formula. It was thick and creamy. I thought the consistency was great.5
This shave cream if by far one of the best I have ever used. It has a great smell and using it every day doesn't cause my face to break out.4
Before BirchBox I've only used one type of shaving cream. Now I use the ones I get in the box. This has been my favorite. It isn't sticky like others it is just a great cream that smells good while giving me a close shave and leaving my skin feeling hydrated. Perfect, high class shaving cream.5
This stuff is definitely better then the drugstore type creams. I could see the difference when it came to the hydration and smoothness of my skin.4
This is very good for sensitive skin. I don't have a shaving brush, so it was a little hard to work into a lather, however it still was a much better quality shave than Edge gel, which is my default.4
I have been using this for the last couple of shaves and I like it. It isn't too thick and has a great fragrance. Definitely worth a try!4
