A good body lotion is hard to find. Too oily, too sticky, too thick—the list goes on and on. Lucky for us, Caldrea has been perfecting its body care line for a decade (yes, a decade!). This nourishing body lotion comes in three signature scents: Aloe Water Apricot, a modern white musk with floral notes; Tea Olive Lime, a green citrus scent with vanilla and orchid; and Coconut Fig Leaf, which is fresh and exotic with top notes of white fig, plum, and coconut.
This lotion has a great smell, but it lacked the moisture that I need living in a dry climate. It's light and goes on smooth, but it didn't make my skin feel soft and supple. Instead I needed to find more lotion almost right away. If you live in a moisture rich climate, I think this would be a wonderful lotion to use. But for dry climates where the air lacks moisture this isn't a usable product. The smell is wonderful and I will be saving this for a vacation to a coastal region. It's already packed away!3
This lotion felt hydrating and kept the moisture in my skin.3
I really enjoyed this moisturizer. The scent was very light and refreshing and the formula was very hydrating without being greasy or sticky.3
The lotion smelled nice, not too flowery or overly pungent. It was a bit thin, but absorbed really well.4
I thought the texture was cool and really liked that. Beyond that, standard lotion and wasn't crazy about the smell.. Smelled like a standard hotel body wash / lotion set.. Not worth the price3
I wasn't crazy about the scent of this lotion and it seemed too heavy for the crazy humid Texas summer, maybe better for the winter months...3
Every Caldrea product I've tried has been great - this is no exception. Light-textured and interesting fragrance (tea olive lime). Might try a different fragrance but liked this one too. They have many interesting scent combinations in other products.5
I really liked the fig scent I got in my birchbox but it doesn't seem to be currently available. The moisturizer is nice and thick and I think I would like it in the wintertime, when my skin gets dry but it's not something I am looking for right now.4
I didn't like the texture of the lotion, I found it to be too sticky just not for me1
I got the Coconut Fig Leaf sample. I didn't think I would like the smell, but I was wrong. As soon as I tried it I loved it. It was a nice light scent, not too perfumy or flowery. The moisturizer sank right in and wasn't sticky or heavy. It is not overly moisturizing and thick, so it is good for when you just need a little moisture.4
