We typically enjoy our macadamias covered in chocolate, so we were delighted to discover that this delicious treat could also work wonders on our hair. Made with a blend of macadamia and argan oils, this restorative treatment infuses hair with weightless moisture and repairs dry and damaged strands from the inside out.
As someone with thick wavy hair, I'm always eager to try just about anything to help manage it. Having heard of the benefits of Argan Oil, I was especially excited to try this product.
- A little goes a long way
- My hair wasn't super oily the next day
- My hair was slightly less frizzy
- The smell is a bit too musky, and my husband commented on it every time I used it, and not in a positive way.
- My hair was still frizzy
- The oil caused me to breakout wherever my hair touched my skin.
The product description does mention specifically how it helps with blow outs which I have not done as I prefer whenever possible to let my hair dry naturally to maintain my wave and in general because it's healthier for my hair to not blow dry it.
I was pretty happy seeing this large sample in my March Birchbox, I had bought a tiny sample at another store awhile back for around 7$, and the birchbox sample was easily 4 times that. Its gonna last forever! While I was happy with the size, this hair oil is not my favorite. It is super nourishing, but I feel like it weighed my hair down a little. It is great when my hair is super-dry and could use a little something extra, and it also works wonders as a pre-wash treatment! I have enough to last me for awhile, so I'm pretty undecided on wether or not I will repurchase in the future, since I have other hair oils that I prefer.3
Product smells nice and love the sample size. I currently have it in my dope kit for when I travel.3
I enjoyed my sample while I used it. It smoothed my hair, I liked the smell. It isn't anything out of the ordinary for me and I won't be purchasing because the price tag is too inflated.3
I didn;t like the smell, it reminded me of men's aftershave for some reason. I couldn't see a big improvement in my hair.3
Oil for oily hair isn't always the best. But I think the product did help with some of my split end damage. I need to be limited in how often and how much I use though. Otherwise a good product and smells great.3
i really appreciated the sample size for this! i still have a bunch left as it seems a little goes a long way! also, i liked the smell right off the bat, and after reading some reviews have to agree that it does kind of smell like a mens musk cologne, but, at least, for me, in a good way. but it is pricey, and i have other products that pretty much do the same thing for way cheaper. this and the masque though have intrigued me to wanting to try other products in this line.3
This product made my hair very greasy after following the directions exactly as they were on the bottle.3
This product was just okay in my opinion. Haven't noticed much of a difference. I can say that I do not like the smell.3
while this healing oil made my hair soft, it did weigh it down more than other oils i've tried. also, it smells bad, like rancid patchouli.3
