We typically enjoy our macadamias covered in chocolate, so we were delighted to discover that this delicious treat could also work wonders on our hair. Made with a blend of macadamia and argan oils, this restorative treatment infuses hair with weightless moisture and repairs dry and damaged strands from the inside out.
Not great for low-frizz days- really weighs hair down and makes it look oily (wavy hair, prone to frizz over here.) That being said, if your ends are super dry and fuzzy and you need to do something between cuts/coloring, it helps a lot for those flat iron days- lol.3
Thanks to BB for my fab sample! I may never have tried it. This oil makes my hair silky, smooth and tangle free. Will definitely purchase.4
I LOVE this; it's in my favorites here at Birchbox after trying in my box. I find a little of the product goes a long way, so while it's not inexpensive, it does last a respectable time. Good scent, leaves hair soft. I find the macadamia oil tends to make my hair dry in nice, tousled looking waves.5
I received this in my first ever birchbox 6 months ago and thought it would be perfect to heal my hair over the summer. I use a small amount twice a week and love it! I still have several weeks of use left from a 30ml bottle so although it is more expensive than some of my usual brands, it goes a long way! My hair seems to have fewer flyer away hairs and has a sleek finish the day I use it.5
I am totally in love with this product. First off, it smells literally amazing, and also works great! When going from curly to straight, it really does wonders in between blow drying and flat ironing. It isn't sticky, heavy, or oily--it's just perfect!5
I have not really been interested in oils to this point because I have fine hair and when I add more oil to it my hair looks limp and over shinny. I tried the product and love the smell but really not for me.3
This product was very nice smelling. I always use it after I heat style my hair and it smooths out any flyaways and frizzys that I still might have. I loved that I got this in a full size and I have been using it frequently. I will continue to use it.3
I have tried both products, and though I do like Moroccan Oil, Macadamia Oil is even better. I love the smell, how it feels in my hair, and the cheaper price.
I have thick, curly hair and currently live in a very dry climate.
I use this every morning on wet hair. I also use it on my hands when Im done...I have calluses from working out and it is amazing to help with the roughness. As far as my hair, it does the job. My hair is soft and manageable.5
This is a great product. You only need a little bit and it will moisturize your hair and prevent frizz on humid days. Occasionally, you can put lots in & leave in overnight for a super high shine.
