We're already huge fans of this antioxidant-enriched SPF line, so we were thrilled when Supergoop!® released a mist version of its popular sunscreen. The spill-proof spray, which has a twisting lock closure, dries instantly for full-coverage sun protection. Plus, Vitamin C gives your skin a summery glow, and the fresh citrus scent won't give you kiddie pool flashbacks. Available in both SPF 30 and SPF 50, the broad spectrum formula protects against both UVA and UVB rays and is free of parabens, fragrances, and oxybenzone.
I used the entire sample on my face and arms before a day at the soccer field. I got fried! My arms and face were more burnt than they would have been using my usual Target brand of SPF 50. I don't like to be negative but this product was NOT for me.
I read the reviews on this product and thought I would give it a shot. Though I have never trusted spray sunscreens, I figured since this one came so highly suggested on Birchbox (and anything else I have ever tried from here has been amazing), I gave it a shot. I am thoroughly disappointed, and terribly sunburned.
My husband and I went to Mexico last week and brought this along. I followed instructions: sprayed indoors (which made an absolute slippery mess in my hotel room), let it dry for 15 minutes before going outside (did not dry, still very greasy), reapplied every two hours, and we both burnt to a crisp. I have been to Mexico multiple times, always use the same SPF (start with SPF 45 for a few days, then switch to 30), and am vigilant about reapplying. We both have horrible sunburns. I am so upset about this product, and will never try anything of theirs again, nor will I ever trust a spray sunscreen.
I was loving this sunscreen and citrus scent until it stopped working after the second use. I was really bummed that this happened because it's a pricey product so I was expecting better quality. I ended up having to throw the can away that was probably than 2/3 of the way full.1
I love the Supergoop sunscreen serum and was excited to try this. I'm so disappointed and irritated that I paid for this product and can't really try it. I think I got a broken one-the spray didn't work. Only a few drops come dribbling out.1
I live in a desert where sunscreen is necessary pretty much every day. I ran out of my drug store brand and opted for Supergoop based on all the great reviews. I only got about three uses out of the full sized product before I ran out, and I don't know what the people who are saying it smells good are into but my friend described it as smelling like "poison" and I'd have to say he's pretty spot on. Definitely not worth the price, I'm going back to my drug store brand that smells better, is cheaper, and lasts longer.1
Very excited to try this sunscreen. Bought it for a trip to Mexico and it didn't spray (mist). It barely trickled out. It was a brand new bottle and quite expensive for sunscreen. Very disappointed.1
I was so excited to get the Sunscreen only to receive it and it not spray. I can not get the suncreen out!!1
My husband and I both sprayed a large amount of the Supergoop! SPF 50 well before heading to the beach, as well as reapplied while we were there. Clay actually spent most of the day under a tent! We both ended up pink and sunburnt, despite our best efforts. It doesn't not provide very good coverage.1
There's a twist and lock cap on this sunscreen, which is good in that you don't have to worry about a cap. However, when my cap is in the unlocked position it is incredibly difficult to push down. Sometimes I have to use two hands which makes it incredibly difficult to spray my arms or my back.1
I purchased the SPF 50 version of this sunscreen mist for a vacation. I knew I'd be in the sun quite a bit and traveling solo, so I thought that buying a spray would be my best bet.
I used a good deal of the mist on my body throughout the day, but unfortunately the sunscreen was no match for my water kickboxing and water barre classes - I ended up with sunburns on my shoulders. Also the spray stung a little when spraying it on freshly shaved legs.
I'll stick to using Supergoop's traditional sunscreen creams from now on.
