The South Korean sensation of BB cream has gone global—and revolutionized our beauty regimens. Good for all skin tones and types, this multitasking version from Canadian brand Marcelle hydrates and calms skin, controls shine, masks imperfections, and infuses your complexion with just the right amount of color. Self-adjusting pigments, antioxidants, aloe, and chamomile work in conjunction to soothe and moisturize, even out skin tone, minimize the appearance of pores and blemishes, promote skin renewal, and protect against aging and environmental factors. It comes in three shades (light to medium, medium to dark, dark to darker), and its hypoallergenic, gluten-free, and perfume-free.
I thought I was ordering what I received as a sample, the Coola BB cream. I was not at all happy to receive a replacement and will be much more careful in ordering in the future.1
I don't find this very moisturizing. It seems more like a very light moisturizor for putting on light glitter/sparkles. I would not use this on my face. Sparkles only highlight the shine on my face ( I have oily t-zone) and any wrinkles I might have. I don't get it. Would be better for areas I actually wouldn't might highlighting: collarbone or legs maybe. Did not seem to calm skin as advertised it would. This seems like a product better for tweens or Halloween.1
I love this product and have since bought the full size! It offers complete coverage with out being caked on!1
This is the worst BB cream ever. Gave me horrible acne and I never break out. If I could return this I would. I am not pleased.1
My skin is pretty normal but i find at the end of the day my skin feels very oily with this cream. Not a good formula for me.2
While this product at first feels nice on my skin, it seems to make my face even more oily throughout the day. I'm sure a lot of it is my skin just being more oily now (seems to become more so, the older I get), but I'm finding myself having to dab my face multiple times a day to absorb excess oil and shine. Then by mid/late day, I hardly have any coverage left on my face...which makes putting on makeup to begin with pretty pointless! I'm trying to move away from having to put makeup on my entire face or wearing a heavy foundation, so I was hoping this would be a nice transition. Unfortunately, I don't think it worked me as the product is described. Hopefully others have more luck with it.2
I really wanted to love this BB cream but unfortunately it made me break out within 4 days of use. It appealed to me because its rich in antioxidents and hydrating aloe and I have pretty dry skin. However it just didn't work out for my skin :(2
Once this cream is on, it was good, but it seemed to settle into my pores and they looked enlarged. It was a little hard to smooth on. Just didn't work well with my skin.2
it goes on smooth, non greasy. but does not provide good coverage. I don't love it and I don't hate it- kinda on the fence. also doesn't have any spf so another step to add to my daily routine.2
I'm really not sure how many more BB or CC creams I am going to keep getting in my Birchbox so here's my review for like the millionth one.
I completely understand the difference between a BB and CC cream and since I do not have any pigmentation issues, the coverage of a BB is sufficient. This particular product did not have the stay power that I would have liked. It peeled around my nose and was almost non-existent by the end of the day. It also did not play well with my under-eye concealer, making it look cakey and discolored fairly quickly.
