Most of us are, er, intimately familiar with the shaping power of well-constructed undergarments. Enter Marcelle’s Twist Push-Up Mascara, which creates the same effect for eyelashes. Its adjustable brush both defines and adds volume to lashes, resulting in that coveted doe-eyed look. Plus, the coal-black mascara is hypoallergenic and perfume-free, and it doesn’t clump or flake off.
The hype is only hype. This mascara certainly does not add volume and barely does the work of a convenience store brand mascara in regards to definition. Additionally, I've literally NEVER had a problem with mascaras or eye make-up in the past but this mascara constantly irritated my eyes. Not a fan.1
I never ever leave the house without mascara. I like formulas that add volume and length. I had such high hopes for this be mascara. It was horrible! Thick, chunky, clumpy. I had to use my metal toothed eye lash comb too get rid of the worst clumps then it rained down like dandruff all day long. I'll stick with Eyeko black magic thank you very much.1
First off, I did not like the smell. Second, it was very wet. It didn't try quickly after putting in on my lashes and I kept getting mascara everywhere. Do not recommend.1
I purchased this after seeing the rave reviews about how this is the bomb. Not so much. Really disappointed. Always on the search for that holy grail mascara. I've tried every brand from Sisley to Lancôme, Armani, dior, chanel, ysl, guerlain, the list goes on and on. I got no length or volume and the twist up thing really confused me. I so wanted to love it. Oh well, it's back to my other mascaras in the arsenal.1
I would not recommend this product. It was clumpy and I saw no added volume to my lashes. I found that it made my eyes itchy despite being hypoallergenic.2
I love the concept, the volume that it give my lashes and when you are finished applying they look as pretty as false lashes. The only con about this is the mascara is after about 2 hours it starts to flake off. I will continue to use and see if it was just a fluke.
I am not a huge fan of this mascara. I don't think everyone likes the same things and that is okay. This mascara does not provide full lashes for me. I need length and fullness which makes me a hard customer for mascara. I am on hunt for the right one.2
The toxic smell from this mascara is not pleasant, and after an hour of wear my eyes were very irritated.... The mascara did go on well, the twist seemed to add a tiny bit of volume, as much as any second coat o mascara really... I did like how it coated my lashes, no clumps, and it did not give 'raccoon eyes' at any point in the day, but I feel like there are plenty of mascaras that accomplish those goals, and at a better price point. I would be more than willing to pay this price for a mascara if it were not for the toxic smell and awful irritation to my eyes. Those are enough for me to give it 2 stars and not use it again.2
I bought this mascara to try a new product and had a 40% off coupon from Birchbox. Overall I give this product a "meh" I will say my lashes look full, the applicator is great. however it flakes off quite a bit so I have been finding black specks under my eyes. Wiping them away either makes it worse and/or removes some of makeup. I will use up the mascara because I hate to waste money/products unless i break out from them but I wont be buying this mascara again.2
I probably bought this out of curiosity more than anything - I really wanted to try the "twist push-up" feature. It was a joke and so was the mascara itself. It clumped when I applied it, took forever to dry, and flaked into my eyes throughout the day. Not recommended.2
