Most of us are, er, intimately familiar with the shaping power of well-constructed undergarments. Enter Marcelle’s Twist Push-Up Mascara, which creates the same effect for eyelashes. Its adjustable brush both defines and adds volume to lashes, resulting in that coveted doe-eyed look. Plus, the coal-black mascara is hypoallergenic and perfume-free, and it doesn’t clump or flake off.
I love the idea of this mascara. I have horribly straight (sometimes downward), sparse lashes that you can barely see without mascara. I HAVE to use an eyelash curler. Needless to say, I'm ALWAYS looking for a new mascara since when I find one, it ends up being discontinued. I have tried this with one coat using the extended brush followed by a coat with it shortened; I've tried it compressed only. Doesn't matter what I do - I get no volume with clumping. If I use the wand extended only, it doesn't even look like I have mascara on. I am still using it for days when I only wear a light liner, but using this with full eye makeup makes me look like I forgot the mascara, except that they're clumped. I will continue my search...3
Probably one of the worst mascaras I have ever owned. The formula isn't very good and the brush doesn't lengthen well or add much volume.1
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MASCARA!!! It's all about the brush! I highly recommend this mascara for anyone looking for long, fanned-out lashes that do not look lumpy or clumpy!5
This mascara has a great formula that is buildable. What is most amazing about this mascara is the twisting brush of course that adds the great volume.5
I like this mascara a lot! It gave my lashes volume and length without clumping at all. I didn't even need to twist the brush! Twisting the brush for a second coat definitely adds to the volume though. And it stays on all day. Awesome mascara, well worth more than the price.5
I like this mascara...and I like the tool that you twist up and down..but I find it a bit difficult to use sometimes. It does seem to work.but find it hard to adjust to the use.4
I absolutely thought the twist up gimmick was just that, a gimmick. Boy was I wrong. The combination of the extended and the compressed brush gave me such volume definition and length that several people asked me if I had gotten eyelash extensions. And the value is unbeatable, they could easily charge 3x as much.5
I thought this looked so cool, so I bought it. It's a great idea, to be able to adjust the size of your mascara wand, but it doesn't really make a difference. When you're putting on mascara, you don't really want to stop and adjust the wand. I've used it up, because I didn't want to waste it, but I won't re-purchase.2
I really liked this mascara. HOWEVER, there is better out there that I have used...and I should know. You can barely see my eyelashes.4
I absolutely love this mascara, and I'm picky!!! The twist up brush is genius, I feel like most mascaras are either one or the other (lengthening and separating for lashes or VOLUME which equals clumpy) but with this you get the best of both worlds. A must have!5
