This highlighter is so amazing at bringing out our good features. It gives skin a sheer, glowing look without excessive shine or sparkle, and is made with all organic, pure ingredients—like coconut oil and rosemary extract—meaning it's good for your skin too. The slight iridescence of its light-reflecting minerals (no disco ball effect) works to subtly reflect the light and make you look fresh-faced.
This luminizer is fabulous! It gives a soft subtle glow to any part of your skin that you apply it to! I love the product and the packaging! I love that it's a cream, it makes it easier to control the application than a powder luminizer. And it lasts forever!!!5
I wanted to love this highlighter. It's got great ethical ingredients and the company is independent. It is just a little to subtle for me. It works best when I use a more moisturizing foundation base like a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. It blends well and looks natural. It did not work well with my oil control foundation that mattifies once applied. I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't buy it again.3
Love the subtle, dewy glow from this luminizer. Best applied to cheekbones with a brush. Really wakes up a dull or tired complexion.4
On the positive side, there is a finally a shimmer for adult women on the market! That's right ladies (and I don't mean "girls"), no chunky glitter, no fairy-like iridescence, no sorority sister shimmer bronzer. This product provides a soft, subtle, wearable, daytime/job-with-responsibility appropriate, dewy subtle luminescence to your face. Thank the lord! Finally!
The downside, for me, is that it's hard to blend. Imagine a pot of chapstick, and you've got the texture about right. It's just very difficult to move it across your face. Personally, I can't make it not look splotchy with just my fingers. I have to apply it first with a finger and then go over it with a brush. This is a bummer because, as a real live adult working woman, I don't spend more than 5 minutes on my makeup.
As for the staying power-it's not terrible, but it's also note notable either. While the sticky "chapstick" medium that contains the luminescent particles stays on most of the day, the actual shimmer gradually declines within the first few hours of wear.
I do like it's a natural product. For me, that really means a lot, and I'm willing to try other products from this maker for that very reason.
Very disappointed with this product even though I kept it.
For me, it doesn't spread evenly and is clumpy in spots.
I was debating for a while whether or not to keep. The box and jar had some gunk on it, and the lid was dented. It works okay, but is definitely like an oily lip balm. Very subtle. I would avoid putting it on areas where you're prone to break outs.3
This rms luminizer is amazing- it makes your skin look dewy and fresh even in the middle of winter. A little product goes a long way so be careful to not over do it. I like to dab a little on my cheekbones, cupids bow, and inner corners of my eye. It brightens up my whole face! I feel good using this knowing that rms uses organic ingredients. Highly recommend!5
I absolutely love this product. While I do think it's a bit overpriced, it lives up to the hype that models like Miranda Kerr give it. I put this on with the pad of my ring finger and swipe it over my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. It gives me a subtle glow that lasts all day and all night.5
Contouring was never for me. I think it look awfully hard and awful. But I love strobing. This illuminizer is perfect for the glowy, dreamy face5
This product is very rich and creamy. I use it over my well people foundation stick and it shimmers ever so lightly. I'm use to using harsher products on my face with a more bold effect so initially it took some adjusting. After a few days I've seen a noticeable difference in the way my skin glows in pictures and am loving it!4
