This highlighter is so amazing at bringing out our good features. It gives skin a sheer, glowing look without excessive shine or sparkle, and it's made with all organic, pure ingredients—like coconut oil and rosemary extract—meaning it's good for your skin too. The slight iridescence of its light-reflecting minerals (no disco ball effect) works to subtly reflect the light and make you look fresh-faced.
very very subtle cream highlighter. unfortunately, can only wear this over BB cream or makeup free since this tends to move with my foundation when stippling. lightly applying with fingers is barely there reflection almost like -what's the point? Also, coconut oil makes it a bit heavy and can clog pores if you're sensitive. Overall I wouldn't repurchase but it's good if you're looking for a no-makeup look with more natural based ingredients.
2I love this product. I use it beneath the brow-bone, above the cupid's bow, and on the cheekbone. I really dislike the frosty, metallic like look of many highlighters. Coupled with the fact that I try and use more natural and organic makeup and skincare products, I have not been able to find a highlighter suited to me until now! You can keep layering it up for a more glowy look and it never looks frosty - just more and more dewy. Plus, a small pot of this lasts a long long time.
5Now I see why everyone makes such a big deal about this stuff - It's GREAT. I've never been able to successfully use highlighter before. It's either too glittery looking on me or I don't have the application skills to make it look natural. This stuff is so light. It's a cream and it's SO easy to apply. It doesn't make me look like a clown, it adds just the right amount of subtle glow, stays in place and lasts all day!
5This luminizer is fabulous! It gives a soft subtle glow to any part of your skin that you apply it to! I love the product and the packaging! I love that it's a cream, it makes it easier to control the application than a powder luminizer. And it lasts forever!!!
5I wanted to love this highlighter. It's got great ethical ingredients and the company is independent. It is just a little to subtle for me. It works best when I use a more moisturizing foundation base like a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. It blends well and looks natural. It did not work well with my oil control foundation that mattifies once applied. I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't buy it again.
3On the positive side, there is a finally a shimmer for adult women on the market! That's right ladies (and I don't mean "girls"), no chunky glitter, no fairy-like iridescence, no sorority sister shimmer bronzer. This product provides a soft, subtle, wearable, daytime/job-with-responsibility appropriate, dewy subtle luminescence to your face. Thank the lord! Finally!
The downside, for me, is that it's hard to blend. Imagine a pot of chapstick, and you've got the texture about right. It's just very difficult to move it across your face. Personally, I can't make it not look splotchy with just my fingers. I have to apply it first with a finger and then go over it with a brush. This is a bummer because, as a real live adult working woman, I don't spend more than 5 minutes on my makeup.
As for the staying power-it's not terrible, but it's also note notable either. While the sticky "chapstick" medium that contains the luminescent particles stays on most of the day, the actual shimmer gradually declines within the first few hours of wear.
I do like it's a natural product. For me, that really means a lot, and I'm willing to try other products from this maker for that very reason.
