Get gorgeous, shimmery eyes with these satiny shadows, which run the gamut from soft and neutral—we love the toffee-hued Bentonite and warm, burnished Granite—to intensely pigmented. Our favorite shade? Blue Toile, a periwinkle blue. It’s the perfect way to incorporate the blue shadow trend into your makeup routine.
I actually liked the blue color quite a bit, but the teeny little container it came in was sort of hard to work with in my regular human hands. If the full-size was $15, I'd buy it.3
I wear glasses, and the nude/light brown shadows completely disappear under my glasses. This eyeshadow in Blue Toile, just the right amount of pigment to make my eyes look lovely under my glasses. I would definitely buy this again!5
I tried a sample size of the Granite color, and really liked it. The compact shadow, at first, seemed very dark, but after using it I realized that it is just the little bit of shimmer and tint that I needed for my everyday office look. I threw it in my purse to reapply for date night after work, and it built on itself very well.4
I use this product daily - love love love. It goes on nicely and stays on throughout the day (i do use eyeshadow primer too). It is very pigmented - i don't have to do multiple applications in order achieve a dramatic eye.5
I got a tiny sample (tiny in a cute way, it's actually a nice-sized sample, about what you'd get in a palette) in my box a few months ago. I used it frequently then but forgot about it and recently pulled it back out. It's nice. I believe the color I have is Granite; it's a metallic taupe-like color. Nice pigment, shimmery but not too much. The color is a nice neutral, and even though it's a shimmer I wouldn't avoid wearing it during the day.4
I fell in love with the tiny compact that came in my box. So petite. Its a nice blue, not one of the bright ones from the 80s ha. It goes on nicely.3
Satin finish in GRANITE....has not been replaced in my makeup bag. Smooth enough to apply with your fingertips if brush is not handy. Great sample Birchbox, keep them coming, send us other colors, pretty please.5
I received a sample of this in Cement, a dark blackish/gray color. For being such a dark color, one would think it would show up in stark contrast to the skin. However, it showed up very light, almost looking like a bruise or something. I saw other reviews where people loved this product, so maybe it was simply the color. I, however, will not wear this again and don't think that this color would be flattering on anyone's skin tone.2
I received this sample in Granite. I loved it and it gave me a wonderful smoky eye look! It was long lasting and didn't crease. I'd definitely get this again.5
I have cool, fair skin and hazel eyes, and I thought the Santa Fe color was a nice every day eye brightening shade with a good amount of shimmer. I recommend it if you're looking for a new casual hue.4
