There are two spots that feature prominently in our wanderlust-fueled daydreams: SoCal beaches and Parisian sidewalk cafés. Luckily, we can live vicariously through this refreshing fragrance. Folle de Joie, which translates to crazy with joy, evokes both the relaxed and playful vibe of California and the seductiveness and refinement of the City of Light. The perfume opens with a burst of freshness from a blend of citrus and a light woodsy floral, giving way to hints of cognac. Its middle notes—jasmine and Damascenia rose—give the scent a carefree, summery vibe. Warm base notes of spicy woods and rich leather add a seductive finish.
The perfume starts entirely too strong, but smells subtle after a while. Not a scent I would normally wear as a 22 year old.1
I love floral scents but this scent was a little too sweet for me.1
I am surprised this fragrance has such positive feedback. I thought it smelled way too mature for the average Birchbox subscriber...really heavy and powdery.1
i tried this scent and its a strong floral. it doesnt blend into my body oils and become my scent. instead it sits on my skin like someone who put on too much. its completely overpowering for me.1
I could only smell alcohol. I squirt and I tossed it.1
$98 dollars is too much money to spend on a product that smells nice (not amazing by any stretch) and doesn't last longer than a few hours.1
This scent was headache inducing, as are much of the scents Birchbox sends. Thankfully we can now limit scent samples to no more than 6/year. I'm very choosy about scents and am tired of automatically throwing away one of my 5 items each month. Start sending Jo Malone scents, please!1
Nice, light spray, but the the fragrance itself is unimpressive, and turns strangely through the day. Could perhaps use more citrus notes?1
Folle de Joie eau de parfum is a very nice fragrance. Party on your body. Last a long time. Would buy it.1
I thought the scent was too strong. I couldn't detect any distinct scents in the aroma at all. Maybe there were too many different factors in the recipe? I like perfumes and I love florals so I don't know how people thought it was too floral when I couldn't smell any floral at all. I think this might be for someone who prefers a musk.1
