There are two spots that feature prominently in our wanderlust-fueled daydreams: SoCal beaches and Parisian sidewalk cafés. Luckily, we can live vicariously through this refreshing fragrance. Folle de Joie, which translates to crazy with joy, evokes both the relaxed and playful vibe of California and the seductiveness and refinement of the City of Light. The perfume opens with a burst of freshness from a blend of citrus and a light woodsy floral, giving way to hints of cognac. Its middle notes—jasmine and Damascenia rose—give the scent a carefree, summery vibe. Warm base notes of spicy woods and rich leather add a seductive finish.
I liked this at first but got sick of the scent after a while.3
I have been searching for a new fragrance since Dior got rid of miss Dior Cherie. I wore it for 7 years and considered it my signature scent. I get headaches from a lot of perfumes and am generally pretty picky. A friend of mine got this a few months ago in her box and I was intrigued but unsure if I would like it on me. I love it! Fresh, light, just the right amount of scent without being overpowering. I will definitely be purchasing5
If you like light and crisp fragrances, this will be right up your alley. It's not my personal taste, but was pleasant.2
I liked the scent of this perfume. It was not overpowering, but very long lasting. However, I am unlikely to buy such an expensive product.4
I really like this perfume once the top notes fade away. It has a nice fragrance that lingers throughout the day that is subtly sweet. The only thing I didn't like is how sweet and strong it is upon its first spray. Unfortunately, this caused my significant other's asthma to flare up so I won't be purchasing the perfume anytime soon. Aside from that, I love the smell (once the top notes fade) and would purchase the product.4
This perfume smelled very expensive to me. Like an old, rich person would wear this. I don't think that is bad, it just doesn't fit well with my style.4
I just wasn't a fan of this scent. It didn't appeal to me.1
The scent was nice but I would never pay this much for perfume.3
I love the scent. When it settles into my skin, it smells different, but better than in the bottle. Sadly, my husband is allergic to perfumes, and has severe asthma, so I use it sparingly when I am at work, so it wears off before I go home. I prefer to keep him alive and well than to smell pretty... But if I could, I would wear it all the time!5
The smell is nice in general, but it isn't what I normally go for. I tried it out, and it doesn't work as well as I'd like with my body chemistry. It just wasn't for me -- but smells nice in general.4
