There are two spots that feature prominently in our wanderlust-fueled daydreams: SoCal beaches and Parisian sidewalk cafés. Luckily, we can live vicariously through this refreshing fragrance. Folle de Joie, which translates to crazy with joy, evokes both the relaxed and playful vibe of California and the seductiveness and refinement of the City of Light. The perfume opens with a burst of freshness from a blend of citrus and a light woodsy floral, giving way to hints of cognac. Its middle notes—jasmine and Damascenia rose—give the scent a carefree, summery vibe. Warm base notes of spicy woods and rich leather add a seductive finish.
This perfume is great in a way that it is light and airy. I did not find anything special about it. And it does not last too long.3
I love the way this fragrance smells! I have a hard time finding a fragrance that really like. This isn't too spicy or sweet smelling, it's very clean and light. It's pricey in my opinion as I don't usually spend that much on perfumes.5
The first thing that can in my mind was my mother!! Haha it truly reminds me of her. The scent isn't bad but I personally won't wear it because I love very fruity scents4
The scent is very masculine and not something I like at all, it gave me a headache everytime I opened my box...1
This is one of the first perfumes I have actually liked from birch box. It smells lovely and has notes of rose. I did find that it fades after awhile, however I was very pleased with this sample. I am considering buying it.5
Not my most favorite scent. But ok for daytime use!3
A nice light citrusy fragrance with woodsy undertones...liked that it wasn't too floral, like a lot of previous samples were.4
I received this sample in my June birchbox. I am so tired of getting perfume every single month. It smells ok, nothing great about it.3
It's true, I really don't wear any fragrance as my husband is rather allergic and I want to respect that. I've never been a big fragrance girl other than back in the 80's I did enjoy 'OPIUM' very much! But as far as all that this sample wasn't awful by any means, in fact I've tried it a couple of times because it does have a nice scent. I do like that samples come as a tiny spray bottle now...no more spills!4
I am extremely picky about my perfumes. I have plenty of them but have been swearing he same one for years. They recently discontinued it and I am in the market for a new one. This one may be it. It's subtle yet distinct, light and airy, and simple. I love it!4
