It’s rare to find a hairspray that’s great for our hair and the environment. This non-aerosol mist fits the bill: It’s full of natural botanicals to nourish strands, and it provides the strong yet flexible hold you need to tame flyaways and support updos, even in high humidity. Best of all, the earth-friendly formula doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals. All Number 4 products are vegan and free of gluten, sulfates, and parabens.
For me this product provides moderate hold. I'm not a fan of the smell, but it does what it supposed to.3
love this hairspray. not clumpy. not sticky. This hairspray is very light and easy to use. Does not smell bad either. use this every day now.
Love that this doesn't contain a bunch of garbage chemicals! So far, the sprayer hasn't clogged so that is a good sign. Smells less alcoholy and seems to keep my flyaways at bay.4
Lightweight but nice hold. Not sticky or flattening4
This is the BEST non-aerosol hair spray I've ever come across. It smells awesome, doesn't leave my hair sticky and makes my hair look nourished and healthy! Definitely buying the full size and adding to my daily routine.5
What a great product to throw in your purse for touch ups throughout the day. Also great to throw in your carry on when flying. Helps keep those braids in place.4
I'm honestly not a huge fan of this. I've used it once. My hair is very thick, and it did not hold very well, therefore I haven't used this product very often.3
I really liked receiving hairspray as a sample, because it's perfect to throw into my purse! This product was great. I don't usually like the way non-aerosols apply to my hair, but this was a really nice even mist, with no big blobs anywhere, and it didn't crust my hair up. It also has a REALLY nice scent! I don't use hairspray much, but the next time I need to buy, I will buy this!4
Pros: It's non-aerosol, so easier to get on planes, better for the earth, no risk of exploding in a hot car, etc.
-It held my hair like magic without making it feel "stiff" like aerosols can do. My hair was soft and didn't look "over-done".
Cons: Well, really just one con. It smells kinda weird. Like it smells like hairspray and they tried to cover that up with a weird perfume. Unlike an aerosol hairspray, the smell doesn't totally go away when it dries. It's not overwhelming but I can smell it when I move my hair around. It's not a terrible smell, not something anyone would call you out on, but I don't like it competing with my nice perfume.
Overall I would probably continue to use it because it works better than aerosol, but I might try other non-aerosol brands first to see if they smell any better.
I have naturally curly hair and live in a humid climate so I suffer from frizz...this hairspray is light, effective, and really helped control the frizz...would recommend5
