We’ve always had a thing for the land down under: the surf, the sun, the all-you-can-eat shrimp on the barbie. Not to mention the sophisticated style of famous exports Nic and Naomi, who always look chic without trying too hard. Fortunately, we can get a little taste of Oz stateside with these new-to-the-U.S. lipstick pencils from hip Aussie brand Mirenesse. The bold, glossy hues are a no-fail way to add polish to any ensemble, and the long-lasting formula stays high-impact for hours. Bonus: Each pencil doubles as a dreamy cheek stain.
I am a pretty neutral color gal and this was WAY too dark. I try the texture of it but there is no way I could ever wear this. It would be nice to have gotten a practical color.1
Ok... not really impressed. It's an overpriced wax stick. It feels quite waxy. Just ... ugh. I really tried but I just couldn't get over it or the bland shade I rec'd. Sorry!1
The color I received was very red and much too loud for my personal style. I think I would have enjoyed this product much more if I had received a more neutral color. The texture and consistency seemed nice but the color was just not me.1
I didn't really care for the color, it was very salmony-orange for me. Plus, the little gold flakes weren't my favorite either.1
I didn't care for the texture and the color didn't last. I experienced some color bleed quickly after application. It's a shame since the sample was such a great size!1
Extremely smooth application, but almost so silky that it rubs right off your lips and the color certainly doesn't stick around.1
Perhaps in a different color, I would like this lip crayon. The color was too bright for me, and it looked just terrible with my skin tone, eye and hair color.
I gave it away to someone who have different coloring features and it looked nice.
If I were a redhead, I might put this color on my face, but I have no fewer than 87 lipglosses. Why would I flip out over this strange orangey-reddish-pinky color? It isn't for me. But my 10 year-old neice thinks it is fun to carry around in her purse.1
I did not like how this product looked on my lips. It went on uneven. It was too oily for my cheeks. Overall did not like it at all.1
If you are looking for a red lipstick to stay on your lips, and not go anywhere else, do not choose this lipstick. It came off extremely easy and had a hard time staying put. The consistency was not favorable which led to it being the opposite of smudge-proof. Maybe I'm just spoiled by modern day lip stains, but even for a normal lipstick this was bad. The color was pretty though!1
