We’ve always had a thing for the land down under: the surf, the sun, the all-you-can-eat shrimp on the barbie. Not to mention the sophisticated style of famous exports Nic and Naomi, who always look chic without trying too hard. Fortunately, we can get a little taste of Oz stateside with these new-to-the-U.S. lipstick pencils from hip Aussie brand Mirenesse. The bold, glossy hues are a no-fail way to add polish to any ensemble, and the long-lasting formula stays high-impact for hours. Bonus: Each pencil doubles as a dreamy cheek stain.
The very first time I tried to take the lid off of this, I immediately whacked the top of the stick right off with the lid. There's a reason most lipsticks have shields, so this doesn't happen!! I even tried to be cautious with it since I saw there was no shield and I couldn't avoid it. I was immediately so frustrated with the thing I had a hard time even trying it. However, once I did try it, I found that it did not last. It requires reapplication far too often for me.1
This color is horrendous, and it looks like my grandma's favorite shade. It apparently can be used as a blush as well.. I threw it in the trash.1
This color was just not for me. I love lipsticks and glosses, If the shade were different really would love it.1
First of all, the consistency is okay but it has no staying power! Not hydrating. I also really hate the sparkles in this product too. Super disappointed and will not purchase full-size item.1
I am more of a lip stick gal but decided to give this gloss a shot. It was very sticky and did not stay put. Plus the color I got was a little too bold for my tastes.1
Idk how many times I have gotten the ugliest colors on lip stains and etc, it the first time I've complained.1
Way too glittery and sparkly for me. I don't know who would want this much glitter on their face.1
The color is vibrant but doesnt stay put. It kind runs off my lips similar to applying a liquid gloss thats been in the sun too long. I wouldnt reccommend.1
Not a flattering color and the taste it left behind was pretty bad1
in general, this is a very nice sized sample of lip color to try, if the color worked for me? Granted, again in general reference to lip color & samples I will say that after a year long subscription with birchbox now, every single lip color sample I have received I do not even use. Why are the colors that get sampled out, never right on or right for you, in this case (me)? Argh, I like lip color and need color and its nice to get the samples, but they are rendered non wearable and therefore useless. such a bummer, again in general….1
