We’ve always had a thing for the land down under: the surf, the sun, the all-you-can-eat shrimp on the barbie. Not to mention the sophisticated style of famous exports Nic and Naomi, who always look chic without trying too hard. Fortunately, we can get a little taste of Oz stateside with these new-to-the-U.S. lipstick pencils from hip Aussie brand Mirenesse. The bold, glossy hues are a no-fail way to add polish to any ensemble, and the long-lasting formula stays high-impact for hours. Bonus: Each pencil doubles as a dreamy cheek stain.
Although I did not personally prefer the color that I received in my Birchbox (Quick Kiss), I think that the product itself was good. It has very nice color, which can be built up or put on sheer to each individual's preference. However, when it is used on the lips, I find that it doesn't last very long, so I would prefer a lip stain.3
Love the idea of this being so many products in one but I wasn't thrilled with the color. It's a bright reddish pink and doesn't really flatter my tan olive skin tone.3
The color had good staying power, but was a little too bright for me.3
Unfortunately my sample was just not my color however my co-worker loved it!3
I don't really wear lipstick but it went on nice and evenly.3
The size of the product was awesome - the color of the product was not so awesome. I thought initially I really liked it, but found that after a short amount of time the color faded to appear almost red-orange. Wasn't totally thrilled with the product, but I have no doubt it would look good on someone else. I can see it's potential. Perhaps I will try a different shade...3
I did not like the color of the sample I received, but I did like the product itself. When they say this is a lip stain, it is definitely that! Color did not come off after several hours, which is a good thing! I'm planning on purchasing this product, just in a different color.
I tried this on first as a lipstick and the color from the birchbox did not match my skin tone at all. Too much orange for a fair skinned red head. It also felt a little dry on my lips, but did have good coverage. I didn't give up and tried the recommendation that it could also be used as a blush. It actually works much better for me as a blush than a lipstick. Go figure!3
It applies well, and is very easy to use. Drawing the line of the lips was simple. The color wasn't for me.3
I really like the product, but the color did not look good on me. I will probably only wear it with the "right outfit." I do like the way the product feels and stays on. Maybe a different color would have been better for me.3
