We love anything that makes our lives easier, which is why we bow down to philosophy®purity made simple™. The award-winning, one-step daily facial cleanser removes makeup, cleanses, tones and lightly hydrates the skin. Really, what more could you ask for?
I had heard a lot of great things about this, but was very disappointed. I don't like the smell (smells like lemon wet wipes) it burned when it got near my eyes and it tastes really bad if it gets anywhere near your mouth. (When I'm washing my face, my cleanser is going to get near my mouth. I haven't had any other cleanser I've used leave a bad taste in my mouth.) It also made me break out.1
The one star isn't because the product isn't any good. Its a great makeup remover. Completely gets all of the days buildup off of you. And my mom uses this and has for a while and her skin looks great. The problem is I have moderate to severe eczema and something about this cleanser caused THE WORST eczema breakout i've ever had in my life and for the first time i got it on my face. Not that I can claim that it isn't good for sensitive skin (my mom has fairly sensitive skin and she hasn't had any problems) but if you also have eczema of any kind I would just be sure to be weary and careful with it. Really sad this didn't work out because otherwise its a great product1
I didn't like how the brand uses the ingredient formaldehyde in their products.1
Like other products from philosophy, I find that Purity almost works for me, but ultimately doesn't. It lathers and cleanses well, and feels nice on the face, but it dries my skin out like crazy. For people who tend towards an oiler complexion it might be better, but it definitely isn't for my dry skin.1
This cleanser does not remove makeup well and is too fragrance. I have already tried this and its a commonly received sample else where- I keep having to give away or donate.1
The cleanser was too gentle for me. Didn't really remove impurities or deep clean.1
I have very oily skin and this cleanser just did not feel like it was working. I typically use a cleanser with some sort of scrubbing action because I feel this does a better job at cleaning my skin. After using this cleanser, I did not feel my face was adequately clean. Others might like it, but I don't feel it works well for oily skin.1
I believe Philosophy is overrated and they're certainly not cutting edge when it comes to skin care. They do a great job of marketing and getting their name into the press.1
Have used it before but it caused me to break out. Love other things from Philosophy and wanted this to work for me, but it did not.1
I HATE this cleanser. It made my face break out when I tried it before. It smells terrible and looks disgusting.1
