Can't decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails, thanks to the brand's SolarActive® Technology. Each Ruby Wing polish is non-toxic, vegan, and environmentally safe—plus has a light floral scent
I am not into color changing nail polish. I do like the hot pink color but not the red.2
The nail polish itself is actually pretty decent. What I dislike about it is what everyone else seems to be fascinated with: the color change. I can see this product being fun for a younger girl but I don't see myself using this sample.2
I did love the color changing aspect of this (ride em cowgirl shade)- and i did love the color, but i am NOT a polish person- and the polish was so glittery, it reminded me of a pre-teen makeover polish. and i do not mean small specks of glitter, i mean pure GLITTER...2
I received the hot pink/red color changing sample in my birchbox. However, it is not changing colors. I did 2 coats of the pink and one clear topcoat, and the color is still hot pink, and will not change to red.2
This nail polosh peels off very easily. It also does not have great coverage.2
I did not notice a change in the direct sunlight. I also found the kitten heels to be way to Barbie doll for my tastes.2
I liked the color as a top coat on other nail polish, but it was incredibly annoying to take off.2
Very cute but I think the glitter is a bit young for me and also it upsets me because I can get a full size bottle of this for $3 at the store yet it's $10 on here.2
my product doesn't change color in the sun, so it's essentially just a gold glitter nail polish with a few specks of silver. the glitter is pretty chunky, giving the polish a rough, thick texture. not really my look, but the staying power has been pretty good so far. this nail polish smelled very strong when i was applying it though, to the extent that it made my boyfriend nauseous. apply it somewhere with air flow.2
So color changing nail polish it said. Well yeah that didnt happen for me. My thing is do i blame my weather? I live in Oregon and winters here are pretty overcast.. Do i blame the polish? I dont want to blame the polish. Perhaps i got a bad batch. IDK. I do know i was mildly disappointed in my nail polish for not changing color..
Did i like the nail polish. I sure did. It stayed on relatively long.. As many times as i was my hands, or just plain try to scrape off my nail polish it kept pretty well.. And i didnt even use a base or top coat!
Would i be willing to purchase another bottle. Unfortunately no probably not. I feel the bottle would have to be significantly discounted. Only because it didnt fulfill its promise to change colors.
