Can’t decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails. Better yet, these polishes are lightly scented with the floral notes. We’re adding these to our mani must-have list.
Very cute but I think the glitter is a bit young for me and also it upsets me because I can get a full size bottle of this for $3 at the store yet it's $10 on here.2
my product doesn't change color in the sun, so it's essentially just a gold glitter nail polish with a few specks of silver. the glitter is pretty chunky, giving the polish a rough, thick texture. not really my look, but the staying power has been pretty good so far. this nail polish smelled very strong when i was applying it though, to the extent that it made my boyfriend nauseous. apply it somewhere with air flow.2
So color changing nail polish it said. Well yeah that didnt happen for me. My thing is do i blame my weather? I live in Oregon and winters here are pretty overcast.. Do i blame the polish? I dont want to blame the polish. Perhaps i got a bad batch. IDK. I do know i was mildly disappointed in my nail polish for not changing color..
Did i like the nail polish. I sure did. It stayed on relatively long.. As many times as i was my hands, or just plain try to scrape off my nail polish it kept pretty well.. And i didnt even use a base or top coat!
Would i be willing to purchase another bottle. Unfortunately no probably not. I feel the bottle would have to be significantly discounted. Only because it didnt fulfill its promise to change colors.
I received the hot pink color and it doesn't change in the sun at all. Not even slightly. The polish is fine, but I could buy any pink if I don't need it to change colors. The feature that is supposed to set this polish apart just flat doesn't work.2
The polish is great and its neat that it changes color, but I'm not much of a gold glitter type of girl. I'm sure if I received the other color it might have been better. Can't wait to try it out on my 7 yr old niece though!2
I was SO SO SO looking forward to this color changing nail polish. The color I received was Kitten Heels. I followed all directions included (2 coats then a top coat) and it is just bright pink, no hint of color change no nothing. It has pretty good staying power and it dries fast which was great, but there was no hint of red anywhere in this nail polish. Sample size was good, but I hate this hot pink color and the fact that it doesn't change.2
I love that this nail polish changes color. Yes if you are reading this review it actually does change color in the sun. Draw back? After a day and a half with a top coat it peels right off. I sit at a desk and type all day. I have normal length nails and type with my finger pads. Any other manual type labor is going to take this stuff off quick so buyer beware. Again it's really pretty and does change colors but if you plan to actually do anything with your hands don't bank on it staying on.2
I've gotten this exact polish before and the truth is, it chips much too easily!2
the nail polish did not come in the color that I would usually wear.2
I love color changing nail polishes. I have a few and I was excited to add this to my collection (I received the Pink one), but the nail polish never changed color. My other color changing nail polishes changes immediately once exposed to the sun, but even with over 30 minutes of sun exposure, this one stays pink. I'm not too happy with this product's claim. I wonder if I even receive a color changing nail polish.2
