Can’t decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails. Better yet, these polishes are lightly scented with the floral notes. We’re adding these to our mani must-have list.
I am so finicky about glitter polishes to begin with, but then I received this one in our monthly box. I like the color but I need it to be applied evenly to enjoy looking at it. That's very hard to do with glitter polishes. But, it can be pretty.2
Great concept of the polish changing colors. The glitter is really hard to remove with polish remover also the glitter could have been much smaller chips.2
I think the idea of this polish is so great, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I put it on my toes, but experienced little to no change outside in the sun. Perhaps it was the topcoat interfering, but the polish didn't have the same 'sticking' power as other brands and without the drastic change, isn't worth while.2
This did not go on smoothly or evenly. The glitter clumped in some areas and was sparse in others. It looks cheap, like something a child would wear when playing dress up.2
It was a different kind of polish to get in my birchbox but unfortunately not my style.2
I don't really know how to determine whether or not a nail polish is actually good....I will say I'm a bit disappointed that I got the other color last month and this color this month....the pink/red one from last month looks AMAZING in pink....which is good because so far I have not seen it change colors.
I'm not really blown away by this. I kind of hate the gold glitter.
My 4 year old daughter loves this stuff! Me, not so much. It looks like something a child or teenager would wear. It peels and chips really quick. Didn't even last 12 hours.2
This wasn't for me. I don't really have any desire for my nail polish to change colors in the sun light? I am neither a vampire or a 12 year old girl with a mood ring and would rather my polish stays the same where ever I go. This is also the second month in a row that I've gotten samples of this nail polish. The first month was a bright fuchsia pink which I found loud and tacky; the second was a glittery gold that I can't imagine ever using. Your mileage may vary, of course, but this was not for me.2
I put on the gold, and it looks really pretty as the gold color, but when I went outside nothing happened. Tried turning heat on it too and still didn't work.2
This nail polish definitely took me back to being a little kid. I always loved glitter and color changing polish! While it was fun, I never saw it change colors... maybe more sun was needed? Also, it took FOREVER to get it off! Even after I finally got it all off my nails, I had to scrape it off my fingers and the glitter just kept transferring to other places. Too much hassle for me!2
