Can't decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails, thanks to the brand's SolarActive® Technology. Each Ruby Wing polish is non-toxic, vegan, and environmentally safe—plus has a light floral scent
I found that one coat of this nail polish didn't leave an even sprinkling of sparkles - it was more an inconsistent mess between the star sparkle and the small dot sparkles. It was also really hard to remove the polish. But, it did change colors in the sun, which was cool!1
The concept of color changing glitter nail polish is really fun, but not appropriate for a woman in her middle 30's or older.1
So sad to report that while the hot pink/red duo that I received was pretty in color, it didn't look so hot after only a few days. My toenails, which generally last for 3 weeks without chipping with other polishes, were chipping after just 4 days. This is not a brand I would purchase. Too bad, because the hot pink was amazing.1
I received the color kitten heels in my Feb. box. Was very disappointed with the color change. I did not see a change at all. Even setting the bottle in the sun got no color change.1
I've had a color changing polish before, so i was interested to try this. It was ok, but because it was a glitter polish, i feel like i spent more time getting it off my nails than actually enjoying it.1
Great product. Wowza. Super fly. yes. et cetera et cetera1
I tried this sample and was deeply disappointed. The shade I had was gold sparkles that was supposed to turn a berry hue in the sun. First, I disliked that it was labeled as "mood changing" polish, when it is only supposed to change color with sunlight. Maybe it's splitting hairs, but it seems misleading to me. Additionally, this product did NOT work. When I was in the sun I noticed a very faint change in the clear polish around the sparkles. It became a slightly purple shade, but the sparkles, which are predominantly the color on the nail, never changed from gold. Also, being so heavily filled with sparkles made the polish chip easily.1
This polish was odd. The glitter is gold, and the polish around it is clear. When you go into the sun, the polish turns a pinkish color, but the glitter does not. I live in New England, so maybe the sun isn't bright enough up here? Not sure. I gave it to my niece, seemed kind of kiddish.1
I thought that the idea of this polish was cute, but the glitter is just way too big. Also, the color change part of this is the clear part, and I felt like it didn't really give a good cover over the nail.1
Of the sample that I received, the packaging was cute and the amount was plentiful. But when I tested it, I didn't really see that much of a change in color. It's still pretty cold where I live so maybe if it were warmer outside it be more significant of a change.1
