Can’t decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails. Better yet, these polishes are lightly scented with the floral notes. We’re adding these to our mani must-have list.
I tried this sample and was deeply disappointed. The shade I had was gold sparkles that was supposed to turn a berry hue in the sun. First, I disliked that it was labeled as "mood changing" polish, when it is only supposed to change color with sunlight. Maybe it's splitting hairs, but it seems misleading to me. Additionally, this product did NOT work. When I was in the sun I noticed a very faint change in the clear polish around the sparkles. It became a slightly purple shade, but the sparkles, which are predominantly the color on the nail, never changed from gold. Also, being so heavily filled with sparkles made the polish chip easily.1
This polish was odd. The glitter is gold, and the polish around it is clear. When you go into the sun, the polish turns a pinkish color, but the glitter does not. I live in New England, so maybe the sun isn't bright enough up here? Not sure. I gave it to my niece, seemed kind of kiddish.1
I thought that the idea of this polish was cute, but the glitter is just way too big. Also, the color change part of this is the clear part, and I felt like it didn't really give a good cover over the nail.1
Of the sample that I received, the packaging was cute and the amount was plentiful. But when I tested it, I didn't really see that much of a change in color. It's still pretty cold where I live so maybe if it were warmer outside it be more significant of a change.1
I was outside for 20 minutes walking around running errands on campus, hoping to catch a glimpse of my nails turning from pink to red- never happened .Kind of disappointing, actually.1
I loved the idea of the color changing nail polish. I received the "Poppy" shade - a bright pink that turns to dark. The originial color itself is really bright, fun and pretty. It chipped within 2 days. I ended up giving it to my younger sister and she absolutely loves it.1
I really didn't like this. The color it changed to was sort of ugly. Plus glitter polish is not my thing. I'll probably give this to someone with little girls to play beauty shop with or something. Or I'll just toss it.1
I put it on last night and is already chipping. It also took forever to dry!1
Not for my hands will try on my toes Polish peeled off after 2 days Did like the color change but very subtle1
This polish does NOT change colors like it claims. At least the change is not near as prevalent as it claims. The change is so slight it's hardly noticeable. I had really high hopes because there are other color combinations I was really wanting to try, but not will to spend the money to find out if they are a bummer too.1
