Can't decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails, thanks to the brand's SolarActive® Technology. Each Ruby Wing polish is non-toxic, vegan, and environmentally safe—plus has a light floral scent
The shades this polish are nice. The color changing effect seems to only work on direct sunlight, but it works! And I found this shade to work faster than others. As for the scent, it is barely discernible; I wouldn't call this a scented polish.4
Love the gold color of the glitter. I found it to be perfect for an accent nail. I wasn't too fond of the red when you went outside. Like many reviews, I would suggest checking your coverage outside once it dries so you can see any spots you missed or may need to touch up.4
I loved this glittery polish. Even better when used on top of another color. Didn't notice a floral scent though.5
I really enjoyed this - the color change is a fun feature, but I really like the gold color (which is what you see more of when at work/home etc...) It chipped just like any other nail polish, but not more so than others.4
I wasn't a fan of the color to begin with, and didn't really think I'd be a fan of the color it was supposed to change to, but I thought I'd try it for novelty's sake. I didn't really notice any change in color, so no joy there either.1
I liked this polish. The gold glitter and clear base was beautiful indoors. The first time I went outside, it did turn red. The shade darkened depending on how much sun I was exposed too. The only problem I had with this, when painting indoors, the clear polish works great! But, when I go outside and the red shows up, you can see where I missed a few spots in my initial paint job. Easy to fix, first time you paint: do your best to get the whole nail with the clear polish. Then go back over to evenly spread the glitter.4
I really enjoyed the color changing aspects of this nail polish, as orange is my favorite color. It would be a great polish to wear in the summer time.4
I got the gold color that goes to red in the sun and seeing it change color was so fun! Pro: it’s not as hard to remove as other glitter nail polishes con: peels off like old school Tinkerbell nail polish. Wish it lasted longer than a couple of days.3
I recommend polishing your nails in the sunlight just to make sure you have adequate coverage. The first time I polished, it had the clear polish and when I went out into the light I noticed all the imperfections. I used by itself with no base or top coat. Polish lasted a solid week. Cool product.4
The nail polish changed color in the sunlight, but if you missed a spot on your nail it became super obvious. I have the gold and ruby wing, and I loved the gold, but felt the ruby wing is lacking. The color wasn't quite it for me. I might have to try one of the other colors soon though.
I didn't noticed any chipping, I wore it on my toe nails for quite a while, and it seemed to wear normal. I couldn't stand to wear it on my fingernails though. I find myself peeling off the glitter nail polish when I can feel the glitter popping up. If that makes any sense.
