Can't decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails, thanks to the brand's SolarActive® Technology. Each Ruby Wing polish is non-toxic, vegan, and environmentally safe—plus has a light floral scent
I got the gold and I love it! The glitter is so fun and the color really does change. Its so fun! I will say it peels off after a bit of time, which I'm not a fan of.4
Received this sample in Kitten Heels. This is a vibrant color good for any season! I would definitely recommend this product.5
this is the coolest nail polish ever. i love wearing it and watching people freak when my nails change colors. i have so many people wanting to buy this stuff5
I really enjoyed the color of the product. It was really fun. I'm not sure if it was just because I wasn't paying attention well but I never saw the nail polish change colors. I'm sure the other color is pretty though. The application was easy, it went on nice and did not chip too easily.4
A great, popping, vibrant color. The color change wasn't obvious because the colors were very close to each other, but it didn't matter. The beautiful hue and easy application is enough for me!5
I didn't notice it changing color at any point. Maybe what I got was defective because it stayed the orange color and never went to gold. I didn't even notice the "floral notes."1
I love nail polish. So this is really cool for me to try. I love the gold and love the red even more5
I borrow my best friend's polish whenever I come over. This one has quickly become my go-to. I love the gold and red. I like to do a layer of a soft gold or bronze then add a coat of this over the top. I prefer a softer red color in the sun so I stick to that method. I plan on buying this for myself once I get up some spending money.5
Looks like good quality because of bottle. Pretty gold color except there are some rainbow sparkles mixed it. Glitter is fairly dense and is a mix of holographic triangles and gold hexagons. Good gift for a friend, it looks beautiful in the bottle.4
I purchased this in the shade Poppy because I really liked the sample I received in a Birchbox (that one was the shade Ride 'Em Cowgirl).
This polish's formula is very nice -- smooth and creamy and very easy to apply. It took two coats to reach opacity.
Poppy is a very bright, almost Barbie hot pink indoors... and completely changes to a beautiful deep berry purple in sunlight! (And, as a bonus, in dappled sunlight or during the transformation process, it's a cherry red color!)
I have found that over time (we're talking, like, ten days after application), the polish seems to darken a bit. I think that's probably because of changing shades several times? But shame on me for leaving my manicure untouched for that long! (It's just the color-changing is so fun!)
The one thing about this nail polish that I'm not ecstatic about is the scent. Instead of smelling like poppies, it sort of just smells like vaguely-poppy-esque nail polish smell. Like a mixture of floral and nail polish, which, honestly, isn't really better than straight-up nail polish smell. It doesn't smell worse than any other polish, though it is fairly bizarre to be able to smell it even on your dry nails. I would be just as happy with this polish without the "scented" business. It's just "eh".
All in all, I really love this nail polish! If you like having a secret different nail color up your sleeve (or, just, very close to your sleeve?), then this is the stuff!
