Can't decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails, thanks to the brand's SolarActive® Technology. Each Ruby Wing polish is non-toxic, vegan, and environmentally safe—plus has a light floral scent
I really liked the gold sparkly color and think it looks nice with one layer as a subtle sparkle or multiple layers for a big evening out. As for changing colors-mine never did (probably due to the fact I live in a rainy area) and it flaked off in big flakes which was a little embarrassing.2
This is the second sample I have received of this polish. It lasts longer than most brands. It did change colors in the sun, but the gold glitter is fun.4
I received the bright pink one in my BirchBox. I love the base pink color, but never noticed it actually change to the darker color in the sun. Went on smoothly, only required 2 coats and didn't easily chip.3
It is a fun idea but I'm not crazy about the high amount of glitter except to use it over another polish for the holidays.2
I am never excited to get nail polish in my BB, simply because I don't paint my nails. If I do have color on them, it's from the salon. But, when this color came my 5 year old daughter went bonkers, begging me to paint her up. It looked fab on her cute little hands. She didn't even realize it was color change, and when I told her she would go in the sun for 30 seconds and wait for it to change. Takes a bit longer to work than that... so the next day we were at the park and suddenly she screamed to me that her gold nails turned pink. They looked even better than before! This is one cool polish in which I am very glad to have.5
I really liked the base color of the polish, which is good because it never changed! I tried one hand in sunlight and the other completely covered and even tested to see if different temperatures would make an impact but nope, not even a shade difference. It is a very long wearing formula which is nice.4
I have really soft nails and polish usually flakes, so my first thought was here we go again. Lo and behold, PERFECT. Doesnt flake nearly as much as other brands (even compared to the real high end ones) and my hot pink color popped, I felt pretty awesome sporting it. Totally in love.5
I recited a sample of the sparkly gold/red polish. It's a fun idea but the glitter made it to kiddish for me. I put two layers on my nails on just to try to out. After I walked outside and saw the color change I took it off. The glitter was just to much. I might try out a solid color. Good sized sample.1
At first I was not impressed with this for a couple of reasons: 1) I'm not a huge fan of glitter nail polish 2) I wasn't sure I wanted the gold glitter to change to the shade shown on the bottle. I decided to try it anyway and fell in love once my nails hit the sunshine and turned into this gorgeous color. It was fun to watch the color change as I went about my day.5
Didn't realize it was color changing until just now. I'm waiting for the color to change at this moment. The gold is pretty, though.4
