Can’t decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails. Better yet, these polishes are lightly scented with the floral notes. We’re adding these to our mani must-have list.
I thought this was a pretty nifty idea, however it didn't seem to actually work well for me, I tried a couple times too2
this color was very bright, well suited for a younger girl but was not for me. I would the quality seemed good though3
This is an amazing product for people who like sparkling. I didn't like the changing colors in the sun. I think it could stay with just one color and this would be better.4
I wear this nail polish all the time. However, it doesn't actually change colors. In this case, it's fine because I love the original color - hot pink - but if I had purchased this hoping for both colors, I would be disappointed.3
This polish is super cool, especially when you're running around all day. It was a little perk to my day to notice it had changed again.
You need a few coats to make it look good; only 2 coats doesn't look right (all thin or barely any glitter). Also, it takes forever to dry.
I got the Kitten Heels color in my box and i love it. The perfect shade of hot pink that changes to a nice dark orange. I use it without a topcoat and it doesn't chip and is nice and shiny. Love it.5
I tried a pink to red version of the product and after about 5 minutes in changed light the color of the polish actually changed!3
I really like the extra glittery look of this polish. It's perfect for an accent nail, BUT it does not come off easily. I had to scrub and scrub with extra acetone to get this off...eventually I had to scrap it off.3
it went on smoothly and only needed 2 coats. i got the hot pink color and i didn't know it was a color changing nail polish5
My sample (I think it was kitten heels) did not change color at all, but I still liked the bright pink shade. I usually wear bright blue or metallic gray polish but this pink is vivid enough that it is equally edgy and fun.
Sounds like other people had the same problem with the color change, but I put it on over a calcium base coat so that may also be a factor.
