Can’t decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails. Better yet, these polishes are lightly scented with the floral notes. We’re adding these to our mani must-have list.
I barely noticed a slight darkening of the color.
The polish itself was very nice, I just wish it would have noticeably changed color.
Really liked this polish. It's thick enough to only use one coat and the color was bright and pretty. I will be buying more of this product!5
I was very excited about the idea of color changing nail polish. I purchased the Peony color.
It's a pretty bright/pastel orange color and it's scented so it smells better than regular polish.
I didn't notice any color change at all. I'm thinking it's because I put a top coat on, I'm not sure.
The polish didn't go on as smoothly as I would have hoped, because of the pastel color it looks streaky
I will try the polish again without a top coat and hopefully it will work.
I ordered this in Peony, and it was pretty watery to put on. It could have been thicker. Even with two coats, it chipped the next day. It maybe was a little bit darker outside, but there was no dramatic change.1
Used this polish for the first time tonight. Can't wait to watch it change colors! Great summer color too. My daughter loves the color too.4
I was super excited when I got this sample in my box. Then I waited for the color to change in full sun and nothing happened. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it a few weeks later without a top coat just in case, but still nothing. Maybe there is a formula issue with their "Kitten Heels" color. It's a nice idea, but unless it works, it's definitely not worth the cost.2
This nail polish reminds me of a mullet. Stay with me here. It's business in the office and a party outside! I'm nail obsessed and even though I stand by my shellac I did try this product and I love the concept.4
As a super geek I was very excited to have color changing nail polish! I am very disappointed. I stayed in the sun for an hour and barely noticed a slight darkening of the color. I gave it two stars because at least the base color is nice and it does have a nice perfume smell.2
I use this nail polish with a base coat and top coat from Butter, and it will stay on my fingernails without chipping for at least a week! It is the most durable nail polish I have ever used. It also comes off easily enough with nail polish remover, and my nails are still in good condition when it comes off (no weird yellowing). The other thing I like about it is the color changing properies which is neat in sunlight. The only thing is that if you put on sunscreen and get some on there, it will look a little weird (especially if not uniform) because the sunscreen blocks the color change.5
OK, this was very cool. Gold one second, reddish pink the next, very glittery, lasts forever. I put off using it but am glad I did. Really fun to show friends. :)5
