Can’t decide between two nail polish hues? The pros at Ruby Wing have come up with a solution to the ultimate polish conundrum: color-changing polish. Wear one vibrant shade indoors, and embrace a totally different color when the sun's UV rays hit your nails. Better yet, these polishes are lightly scented with the floral notes. We’re adding these to our mani must-have list.
It chips easily. But I really do love the Poppy color and the purple it turns into, I just doesn't stay on my nails :(3
I LOVED this polish. I am crazy about bright bold colors and the color changing aspect was really fun for me. The only problem I experienced is that the polish is very delicate and chips easily, so make sure you use a good top coat and base coat to prevent this, also, its dries matte, not shiny so again, top coat is a must!5
Requires way too many layers to get an even look. The nail polish is really runny (for lack of a better word), which makes it take twice as long to do your nails. Also, even with a clear polish layer on top, my nails started to chip within two days. The colors DO change, going from a coral to a fuchsia pink (not the darker red shown in picture). You do need to let your nails soak up some sunlight before the color change can happen.4
This polish is a fun idea, but unfortunately I found that it seems to chip faster than some other brands I've used (Butter, Deborah Lippman).4
the color starts out great and changes to an even better color! love it!5
I am a huge fan of nail polish and I got this polish in my box. It was a bit tricky to apply, but the color change is worth it. A top coat and base coat should solve any chipping issues that may arise.5
I don't think this product really worked. I didn't notice any kind of significant color change. The idea is cool but I'm not sure about it.3
I'm not picky about nail polish but I just did not like this. The color I received was pretty (Poppy), it does change colors, and it dries quickly. My problem was that it dried too quick and was difficult to apply. I like to wear two coats of nail polish and the second coat did not apply evenly at all. I ended up wearing this polish with a glitter to hide the uneven nail polish. Great idea for nail polish, but the application is not so great.2
Love this color-changing nail polish - such fun colors both inside and outside.4
I was excited when I first saw how the nail polish changes colors once you are outside. The first pink color is very cute but once you go outside and it changes to purple… ehh not so cute anymore. It was just a very weird purple color that I didn't think was too appealing. Also, the finish is very odd. Instead of being glossy like most nail polishes, it dried with a matte finish. Almost looked like I drew it on with a Crayola marker. It also chipped very easily. Overall, I would not purchase this product!2
