We're firm believers that everyday routines deserve special occasion-worthy details, which is why we're currently transforming our daily shower regimen into a transporting experience with this bath soap from artisanal brand LAFCO. The custom, Italian-made blend of wild rose, black currant and bayberry evokes an English garden in summer (is there any place you'd rather be?), while luxurious lather both cleans and hydrates.
Lafco has great bar soaps.... I tend to enjoy the more neutral fragrances such as marine and chamomile and lavender. The bars last FOREVER which is great! Also, they keep their scent over time.... I know this because I received 2 for Christmas so I had to wait to use the 2nd bar and by the time I needed that one it still smelled fresh.4
Wish I could tell you more, but after smelling it, my daughter took it home with her! Guess I'll be buying a new one! Haha5
I will definitely buy more of these soaps! I have tried so many brands of soap that I may as well call myself a connoisseur of soaps! Most soaps have a great smell, but they fall short in how they make your skin feel. In the market for a soap with natural ingredients, I tried this one and I'm glad I did. Scent is lovely, but what makes this soap different is the way it makes your skin feel clean yet soft.5
This soap is pricey, but it's definitely worth it. The bar is huge and although I've been using it several times each day for two weeks, it hasn't diminished at all. The smell is lovely and strong and stays on your skin for quite a while.. The lather is thick and moisturizing and feels wonderful. It's a very affordable little luxury and a wonderful gift.5
Love lafco scents bought the reed air diffuser at a fancy resort dos in Carmel CA 2 years ago and it's still scenting my living room. Their products are of a high grade and well received by me. The soap is a giant bar that lasts forever. Although my bar split in half- weird.5
I loved the scent of this LAFCO soap – intense and heady but not cloying, lingering on the skin long after a shower. And despite the strength of the fragrance, the soap itself felt hydrating and didn't have that chemical, moisture-stripping effect I occasionally encounter in scented soaps (case in point, recently I had to stop using a fancy bar by a different brand after the first use, when I developed a rash from some chemical in it). LAFCO, as usual, gets it right.4
I love this soap so much that I have ordered it at least 4 times. It seems crazy expensive, but it lasts forever, has a super smooth texture and smells great. I have tried the French Lilac, Fleur de Baises, Champagne, and Cilantro Orange. I have loved them all. The bar really scents your whole bathroom for week. Also the soap never seems to flake like many other bars do.
This soap smells glorious and despite the steep price, I'd say it's worth it! And it is a very large bar of soap that I'm sure will last a long time. The packaging was also fitting for this high quality and type of a product.4
The Fleur de Baises smells amazing. If it is in your shower, the entire bathroom will smell like the soap. I can smell the scent on my all day long.5
This soap is pure luxury. And an Oprah favorite. I usually splurge on the Summer. I've tried the Sand & Dune and the Champaign. Both were wonderful. Treat yourself.5
