It takes more than a pair of tweezers to keep your arches looking polished—you also need a stellar eyebrow pencil. ybf’s Automatic Universal Taupe Pencil matches every hair color, from blondes to brunettes and everything in between. Plus the twist up design means you never have to worry about sharpening. Best of all, it also comes with a handy brow brush to add texture and make brows look natural.
First time I used this the pencil went flying out of the "plastic pen" it was contained in. Birchbox was kind enough to replace it... I like the pencil plenty but the product containment is a bit of an issue.2
As a blonde *cough* with naturally cool toned skin and hair, I've struggled to find just the right eyebrow product. I used a certain mineral product's brow powder for years, but it was discontinued. Since this was touted as "universal", I was hopeful!
I give it credit for being a neutral taupe- no weird orange tone, but even with a light hand, I find it to be too dark for my brows. I love the spoolie on the end and the fuss proof self sharpening pencil. If it was just a shade lighter, I think I'd be in love.
Just purchased this pencil for the 2nd time and was very pleased to see it now comes in new packaging, which brings this great product to a new stellar standard.
My complaints about the original (plastic caps wouldn't stay on and broke easily, the taupe stick would slide right out of the tube) have all been fixed.
The taupe color is much more natural than the typical warm brown shades offered by other brands. The formula blends well (the brow brush is nice and sturdy, a huge plus) and stays put. The finely pointed tip makes it easy to apply color exactly where it's needed.
Without a doubt, this is my favorite product for my meticulously maintained eyebrows.
I was skeptical about one color fits all- but it is true! I have medium to dark drown hair but recently went more golden for summer and this pencil is amazing and always gives great results. Mine just ran out and I need to order another asap!5
My mom and I were both blessed and cursed to be fairly hairless. The cursed part happens to be our eyebrows, or lack there of. This is the greatest pencil ever and the shade is perfect for both of us! I'm dark featured and she couldn't be more fair, yet it blends beautifully on each of us. You can't beat the price either, it's a win win.5
Overall, I'm happy with this product. I have dark hair and dark, yet spotty eyebrows. It was really great at filling in the spots, but I found it pretty dark. Those claims that it's for every hair color...well, I don't know about that. I did appreciate that brush came with it, but be careful, I found that sometimes when I opened the pencil-side, the entire tube of makeup would come flying out as if the screwing option had loosened -- kinda like when a mechanical pencil starts acting strangely.3
I ordered this as a reward for myself for getting points. It's a good thing I didn't pay for it, or else I would have been getting on the phone real quick. The color is great and matches my skin tone, but every time I go to use it, part of the stick cracks off. The brush on the other side has come out as well. Very disappointed with this product.2
I was skeptical that one pencil could accommodate so many different brow colors, but I stand corrected. My super blonde and sparse eyebrows have look full and natural now that I use this pencil. My usual beauty routine is simple: powder, mascara, a little gloss or lip balm. Filling in my brows has taken my natural look to a whole new level - how did I get by with barely noticible brows until now? Thank you!5
Me and my two daughters tried this eyebrow pencil. Each of us has different color hair -one blond, one light brown, one dark brown. It really does match whoever is wearing it. It's so easy to use, and I love the brush end.5
I never really use a pencil for my brows because in the past everything has either been too dark, or too orangey. I love this though, the instructions that come with it are very helpful. It tells you to apply with a feathery stroke and that description really helped me achieve the look I wanted. I don't use it everyday but it's nice to have in my arsenal.5
