Fun fact: There are reportedly 17,000 websites dedicated to Aishwarya Rai and her mesmerizing eyes. Snag a little bit of the Bollywood legend's look with these eye-brightening cream shadows from Indian-inspired brand Sumita. The easy-to-use pencils let you contour and line like a pro, while the pretty shades add instant drama. The long-lasting formula clings to lids and has a subtle (not over-the-top) shimmer.
I prefer powder eye shadows, as they are easier to blend. However, for an eye shadow pencil it was fairly easy to use. I received a purple color which could be lavender to violet depending on how much you used/blended. I wouldn't use it every day, but it's still an okay product.3
I liked how easy it was to apply the eyeshadow. It made getting ready in the morning that much quicker.3
It is easy to use and goes on smoothly. Great to just throw in a bag when you want to quickly change your look for after work.3
I was immediately turned off by the color (hot pink), only because it's not flattering with my skin tone. But the product itself is easy to use and easy to take with you!3
So, I do hair in a busy los angeles salon. usually before I know it, my eye makeup is down at my lips. This eyeshadow pencil didn't move. I hate it when shadow settles in the crease. The color wasn't quite what I'd normally wear but I'm planning on checking out the other ones. Thanks Birchbox!!!3
i love this sample except for one major issue- the color! i have darker complexion and this light purple really does not suit me.3
I really liked the powder, but the blue I received was way too bold for my style. I loved the texture and the easy to blend shadow, but I cannot bring myself to use this bright blue outside of the house. It feels too dark and a little like 1988...3
I liked that the shadow pencil had glitter so it gave it an extra sparkle to my eyes. However, I only used it twice and the tip broke and fell off! :(3
This is not the right color for me. Although I liked that the color is buildable or can be rubbed out to appear sheerer, this pink is not a flattering color.. and how do you sharpen it?3
I tend to prefer powder shadows, but since this was in my box I figured I'd try it. I received Jasmin, the pink color. It is not really a baby pink, but more of a bright shade. At least on my fair skin it showed up hot pink. It was easy to blend, however, and I was able to tone it down a little bit with just my fingertips. Paired with navy liner it was flirty and great for a festival weekend.3
