Fun fact: There are reportedly 17,000 websites dedicated to Aishwarya Rai and her mesmerizing eyes. Snag a little bit of the Bollywood legend's look with these eye-brightening cream shadows from Indian-inspired brand Sumita. The easy-to-use pencils let you contour and line like a pro, while the pretty shades add instant drama. The long-lasting formula clings to lids and has a subtle (not over-the-top) shimmer.
I am used to using liquid so this was different for me. The color was OK but it was very soft to apply, possibly better for smudging than for a crisp line if that is what you prefer.3
While I did like the color I received, I didn't find this pencil to be particularly amazing. I have pencils by drugstore brands that work as well or even better. I don't think I would pay full price for this pencil, as nothing about it stood out as luxury.3
This eyeliner goes on smoothly. I received the "Jaipur Gold" color and it is gorgeous. It is a little different than your normal brown/black/blue eyeliner, without being too bright for everyday use. And, I have very sensitive eyes and it didn't cause irritation. I took off stars because of its functionality - when I tried to blend the edges it all just wiped off. So, if you want a defined line, it'll do, but if you like to blur the line between your liner and shadow, it won't do that.3
The color was pretty, but the consistency of the pencil was lacking. It didn't glide along my eyelid like I wanted. Also, I was hoping it would smudge a little easier so I could blend it. If you are better with eyeliner and looking for that harsh solid line, this would be perfect for you. Not great if you are looking for a smudged smokier look.3
This product way OK for myself. I don't wear a lot of make-up so, eyeshadow is something I normally don't wear. But It was extremely easy to apply and I would use it again for a special event. I didn't like the smell, mainly because it smelled like chalk. At least it did to me.3
The color of my sample was fine, but it felt like I was using a Crayola on my eyelids. It didn't appeal to me -- might be good for others who aren't as sensitive to texture.3
Normally I would like a more basic color but this product is great. I'm glad that I was given this sample because I generally wouldn't spend money on a color so bold. Thanks Birchbox!!3
I hated the color so much, it was this horrible greenish color and it was so bad I refused to walk out of the house looking like that! No thank you! Who chooses colors like these? Ugh!3
The texture of this pencil runs smooth and is not dull. I received a goldish/brownish/vomit shade and that was incredibly unappealing so I would never purchase this in that shade in the future.3
I used the pencil as an eyeliner, as it's darker than I like for a shadow color. Though it may work well for it's intended (I'm guessing it would be very "blendable"), it doesn't have the staying power I need in a liner. I'll stick with my Urban Decay 24/7 liner.3
